At 725K, the lowest variant of Mazda 2(Manual) is a bargain already.
It's loaded with features like dual airbags, abs+ebd, steering audio controls, 15 inch alumimum alloy, fog lamps, all power including power windows and immobiliser. This lowest variant is comparable with Toyota Vios midle variant with the same features. The difference is, Mazda 2 is really fun to drive. This should sell well.

I hope taxi operators won't buy this subcompact car, or else more taxi drivers would make EDSA and other major thoroughfares racing tracks daily.

Slight OT... what's up for sale now? Any deals on a secondhand Ranger 4x4?

I noticed that I didnt like the mazda2 sedan when i first saw it (maybe too high expectations?)

but after several visits and a couple of test drives (and most importantly parking it beside a honda city), i believe the mazda2 sedan looks is at par with the honda city. difference between the two is honda city is sharper and longer with a lot of edges, the mazda2 sedan is sporty with curves. .

The GM1/2 City has a long-chin look to it too. All angry arrow-head form.

The DE Mazda 2 sedan in comparison is softer. Unfortunately we never got the pre-facelift 2 (released 2007-2009), but the facelifted versions we're getting are all smiley-faced at the front.

you consider this mz2 to a girl *niky. ikaw naman, parang babae lang yan na na-meet mo sa kagabi na naka-makeup. every girl looks good at night time with ***y skimpy clothes and with make-ups

ang dapat tinitignan long-term. say 3-4 yrs from now, u still like the girl kahit losyang na sya

and the honda jazz falls in that dept.

So, what do you get? Almost every single brand-new car out there has finicky electronics that will need maintenance after five to ten years. A Honda Jazz is just as good as any other modern car and better than most. You want something that will look and run good as new when it's a doddering old wreck, get something that already looks and feels twenty years old. Get a Crosswind. :hysterical:

Of course, maybe your phobia is from meeting said girl and waking up in the morning to find out she wears briefs instead of lingerie and you can see her peeing in your bathroom...

    ...standing up.

Sorry... don't do one night stands. Most of my cars are long term commitments. Like my lovelife, which doesn't include looking for women or companions of unknown gender at nightclubs.

I think there were two explorers, one mazda 2.0R, one escape and one 4x2 pre-facelift ranger that were still unsold earlier

the other rangers were reserved (the expedition was sold!)

kaso hanggang ngayon nalang ata yung sale

We're considering the mz2 sedan for my mom if the fiesta doesn't arrive soon enough... value for money it trumps the city and the vios in most ways.

Damnit! I wanted a 4x4! The 4x2 just isn't exciting enough to make me want to sacrifice my sedanly ways...

How much were they asking for the 2.0R? They don't have the V6 Tribute anymore? That was kinda fun... and with FWD only, quicker than the Escape V6.

the 2.0R was priced at 499k! but I think the plate number was XT*-***, ano'ng year na yun? it had some scratches and the exterior plastics were kind of faded...

baka daw ibenta rin in a couple of months yung mazda 2 test units

Not really. The Jazz with the CVT is too fragile a girl... if her first lover is too rough, she's scarred for life. The Jazz with a manual transmission? Even if I were her third or fourth lover, I'd still consider myself lucky.

Mazda philippines wag mag-feeling. Hindi bagay ang mataas na price sa kotse nyo.

hay, maganda ba? im actually getting the red one. saw one sa likod, and asked bakit ganun. when i was told limited lang siya, napabilis bili ko (although mazda2 sedan na talaga ako) tsk, if i only knew na meron blue, i would have liked to see it muna sana.

The blue and red ones looks nice IMHO. You're maybe lucky you've got a red one. I think these colors are in limited volume only because only 4 colors are specified in the brochure.

By the way, I saw the blue 2 in front of Mazda Greenhills
