The same way you compute fuel consumption for any car.

    1) When you fill up for gas, reset the trip meter to zero.
    2) Drive around.
    3) On your next fillup, take note of the trip meter figure.
    4) Fill up and take note of how many liters of fuel you put into the tank.
    5) Take a calculator and divide: kilometers run / liters of fuel burned. That's your actual fuel consumption.
    6) Repeat step 1.

wider and larger diameter tires are the ones that contribute to poor fuel consumption.

just to make sure were on the same page..lol

driving the m2: around 3 weeks now
driving overall: around 13 years! lol

don't know nga what is wrong sa city driving FC ko.. i also have the new honda city and it goes around 9-10 km city driving and i drove my dads expedition before for 1 week and was even able to get 6km/l out of it. so i'm sure there is nothing wrong with my driving. alangya pareho lang sila ng expe!

last 3 weeks pumupunta ko bingonan from makati during saturdays and FC is just so good sa long drives.. as i said around 12-14km sa highway. so labo talaga.

had it checked by mazda makati a week ago but it seems the car is so new.. nagkamot lang ng ulo sa harap ko yung mga technician after they could not see anything wrong sa laptop na kinabit nila. so now observe siguro ko until the 1k check. haay, if not for the warranty pa kalikot ko na lang toh sa mas magaling na shops.

    any suggestion?

again sana mag improve after the first 1k para todo todo na ngiti ko pag minamaneho ko na si m2

wont filling up the gas tank result in some spillage (as i read in some of the threads/forums)?

i assume you are driving the automatic hatch?

am very intrigued with your FC. will soon be filling up my gas tank to get the FC of my manual sedan.

recommended by the dealer is regular unleaded with 93 octane - for the sedan manual.

*kenyoski: joke yung hirit nya. the bigger the tires, the poorer the fc. kaya maliit ang mga gulong ng mga econocars para matipid.

What City are you comparing it against? The old CVT one?

The old CVT City was fuel efficient for an automatic... the new one not so much... I've seen lows of 7.5 km/l for the 1.3 5AT City.

But it will depend on what your route is... if it's a 2-4 kilometer route in traffic, then it's understandable... the 1.5AT is actually decent on the highway... when we borrowed it, it posted the same numbers as the 1.3AT Jazz in the same situations...

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
