Finally got my unit yesterday:bounce1:, the CX5 2.5 AWD Aluminum Metallic, I did not avail the free tint offered by the dealer but I was able to convince them additional 5k discount so I got 30k total discount for the unit. I had it tinted today with 3M magic super black on all four windows and medium black for the windshield and rear, I'm super satisfied with the result. The day I picked it up, the dealer used Shell regular unleaded (93 octane), and I was told not to use higher than the regular unleaded. I've read it somewhere here that it is better to use Petron XCS (95 octane). The manual says not to use lower than 90 octane. What is your take on this, 93 or 95? I just want to make sure I'm using the right octane rating to prevent premature engine knock. Thanks in advance.....

re the octane, i believed you can use anything higher than 91 and no harm done.

sinong dealer nagbigay ng 30k discount? mababa pa yan, sa 3 dealer na natanungan ko 40k pinakababa. pero basta happy sa purchase, ok lang yan. kahit nga wala discount sulit parin eh.

bad trip lang ngayon dahil sa new design ng plates, bawal na request ng ending unless special plate kukunin. 60% chance ko para di matamaan yun kaparehas na ending ko, kaya bahala na si batman

Test mo muna straight 93. Then 95. Then higher pa. Makikita mo rin kung saan hiyang ang makina in terms of pino and FC

Thank you all sa mga input. Anyway, one thing I don't like nga pala is the matting sa trunk and interior, masyado sensitive sa lint especially black kaya very obvious ang dumi. The freebee matting is of little help ang nakakahinayang gamitin so definitely need to install cargo liner and weathertech (alternate). Any of you tried ordering sa Ali Express? Thanks again !!

Same question here. We just tinted the front windows and windshield visor. We left the rear windows and hatch glass as is. Good thing the VKOOL OEM looked similar to the stock privacy glass' shade.

I had the same concern, that if they install super black on the passenger side window I will not be able to see anymore but it turned out ok, with regards to the rear, they showed me the difference between the medium & super black, though I can still see fine with the superblack, I opted to the suggestion of installing the medium black on both front & rear. Have them show u the difference between the two, I'm wearing glasses & with eyesight of 350/375 nearsighted, I'm able to see clearly. The aluminum metallic makes my unit in the same class as those luxurious euro cars.
