Check out both models and decide. I think the price difference is less than 200k between the Maxx and Pro model. The Maxx model does look bare inside when we checked out the CX5 June last year. The base model Forester is better fitted inside compared with the CX5 Maxx for less than 100k more.

Hi April Ryan. Switching to Mazda too? I've placed a reservation on the CX-5 diesel. Thinking of selling the FXT.

Why oh why? Are you not happy with the Forester XT?

The CX-5 is the same type of vehicle which makes the FXT redundant. Nothing against the Subi - it has served me well.

Because the Subaru Forester interior is just so bland compared with the Mazda CX-5 ... the seats aren't that great either ... sure, it's got all wheel drive but that's about it ...

Seriously considering switching to Mazda! Haha. The only Subie I'll consider now is the XV, only because it was what I wanted a few years back but ended up with a Forester. No complaints, like you, about the Forester. I just like how the Mazda CX-5 (and the CX-3) look.

I saw the diesel CX-5 in the Mazda showroom I went to. Very nice! All the bells and whistles too. Pang base model lang budget ko though, pero puwede na. Haha.

I test drove the outgoing CX-5 diesel. Torquey but it won't punch you in the gut like the turbo Forester would. Also the AWD on the Forester is superior, period.

Having said that I like how Mazda is pushing the envelop with clever engineering solutions (Skyactiv tech) whose main aim is to enhance the driving experience. Just watch the Dave Coleman youtube videos explaining these solutions - simple and smart is all I can say. Yeah the new CX-5 interior is so nice. Plus I just like diesels nowadays.

So the Php1.55M Pro is not the base model? Wonder if the Maxx will be released here.

If you look at the specs of the Pro ... it's quite good ...

Bummer wala daw dumating na diesel CX-5 sa 2nd batch and hopefully June daw. That gave me the impression that Mazda dealers here have little leverage with Mazda HQ. Will look elsewhere if no unit by June.

I was in Mazda Makati earlier today. There's a diesel CX-5 in the showroom pero sold na daw. And hirap daw talaga sila sa stocks, no test drive units nga, and aren't offering any discount on any variant of the CX-5.

While I still like the CX-3, the CX-5 is growing on me. I like its dash much better.

The CX-3 has a nice cozy interior but the inside is small like a compact car (i.e. Honda Jazz). Ok lang if you're single I guess. The CX-5 front looks so much nicer in person - a flattish clean design that's unlike the intricate shapes of competitors like the CRV or RAV-4.

I test drove the cx5 diesel in the autofocus event last month. It felt bitin. The interiors tho were very european and felt upscale. It looked great in machine gray color.
