Hi. New member here. My eyes are fixed to get M3 hatch 2.0, even fuelled by what i read here. would you guys know how much cash disc a Mazda agent can give? Any dealer/agent to recommend? Appreciate much your help. Thanks.

Hi Im new to the group, thought Id share my M3 as well. This is my first M3 and all i can say is that im really happy with it. We also have a subaru forester but the M3 is now my favorite. Glad i got this instead of the honda civic.

Was at my local dealer today and was demo'd a 1.5 HB. Noticed a loud sound on startup but disappeared around 30secs later. Do all m3's do this? And whats the difference of the exterior of the 1.5 and the 2.0 HB?

Yes this is normal and has been discussed in the previous pages. Differences in exterior are LED-DRL, 18inch mags & sharkfin antenna(hatchback), lip spoiler for sedan & sunroof for the 2.0. For the 1.5 it has halogen head lamps, 16inch mags and standard antenna (hb) no lip spoiler on the sedan a d no sunroof.

and the plate placement is also different in the 1.5 right? the agent i talked to said that there is no soul red for the 1.5 as it is exclusive for the 2.0 models. is this true? because i've read on carguide that the 1.5 does come in soul red..mazda ph's site also shows a 1.5 in soul red.

I think the plate placement is the same regardless of the variant. Hmmm, maybe in the 2017 models there are red na for the 1.5? If I remember correctly the old ones (2014-2016), no red for the 1.5 models.

Stock front plate location for both the 1.5 & 2.0? Same...4 painful holes to be drilled on the grille.


The facelift's grille is just too pretty to be hidden. For those who'd want no drilling, the No Drill Relocator for the facelift is available...

I believe the lone variant w/o the soul red option now is the 1.5sedan. Advise your dealership not to bore holes on the grille.

Soul red might still be exclusive to 2.0s. Dealership should be able to confirm.

Just got my 3. Excellent driving experience, though I love the soul red, I think this is the weakest link of the car so far. Had a few chips on our first out of town ride. Any paint shops around QC who can work on soul red? For future reference lang naman.
