i think that is highly probable, considering 4 to 5 years naman usually ang life ng isang generation
and we already had a glimpse of the future of Kodo sa 2nd gen CX-5

The current 3s are a joy to drive & own. The news of Sky2 is a late 2018 projection.
The BM 3 was my 1st Mazda. It was just a fit so perfect that when the need & chance was there to grab a smaller daily beater, we looked at no other but the M2. Both are equally enjoyable. The 3 comfier due to its wheelbase, the 2 nimbler, more agile....it's lighter, the latter.
The question of wait is relative. Look at the 2014 M3 thread in this forum....it's long & packed w/ happiness. The current batch of Kodo are pretty & engineered for fun, efficiency, reliability. What more can we ask?
Good luck on the wait, I'll be on the look out, too.

Exciting plans, sir. I'm on 19s & they ride fine. 16s are comfiest. You'll be good on 18s. I'm kinda partial to the OE 18s look. I'd wait for a facelift 2.0 set or better...go lighter.
Pleather seatcovers? Most have gone Seatmate.

Hi Sir, I have the Mazda 2 skyactiv, for me it's the best in its class. Fuel efficient, good looks (interior and exterior) and fun to drive. But I want something bigger and comfier ride. So that's where the thought of having a mz3 come from. My question is in terms of performance and fuel eff. How do they differ from each other? Thanks!

Performance? Well, the 2 is zippier, nimbler, more agile. The 3 is comfier. The difference in wheelbase, weight, spring rates just show. For FC, I'm amazingly getting much better from the 3 than the 2. Why? Perhaps the 3 was well broken in....the 4-2-1 header might have something to do here.....& adjusted driving style. Once you get inside the 2, you just know it's quick & you can go aggressive.
Which do I love more? I hate a safe answer, but honestly? Equally.

OVTph just dyno'd a 2.5 Sky M6 with impressive results on the low-midrange where we want more useful power & torque to be.....
Actual conservative gains of almost 40whp & 50ft-lbs in the said range...just WOW!!!!
No hardware. No Splices. Invisible but felt. Safe. Reversible!!!!!

The Best Car Interior Available for Under $30,000 Is in a Mazda

    Michael Simari

    BY*MIKE SUTTON

    FEB 24, 2017

The*Mazda 3*is a model of simplified excellence; an affordable, everyday car that's stirring to operate and pleasing to sit in. While our praise, including two consecutive 10Best awards, often highlights the car's tossable chassis and eager engine, it's the 3's interior that allows its driver to fully enjoy those elements.

That's no small feat given the Mazda's pricing, but the 3's cabin is as clever as it is classy. Mazda nailed the seating position and primary-control relationships. And the 3's minor controls are designed to minimize driver distraction, allowing eyes to stay on the road. In Touring and Grand Touring 3s, a flip-up screen atop the instruments places vehicle speed right in the driver's sightline, while a large central tachometer dominates the cluster. The navigation-and-entertainment unit takes its cues from luxury cars, with a bright, seven-inch center screen parked high on the dash and controlled via an intuitive knob on the console, or, if you prefer, by tapping the screen itself.

Mazda's interior décor is well-wrought, clean yet interesting, and has just enough detailing to feel upscale but not overdone, much like the 3 as a whole. It'd still be a good car if it had a simpler—and cheaper—cabin, but the fact that it doesn't is, in part, what makes the 3 such a winner.
