we chose the aluminum metallic despite having a silver colored car already, it definitely looks better than black on a hatch.

The aluminum metallic is a chameleon. It changes color depending on the surroundings.

IMO black does not flatter the 3 especially because it already has this big black mouth up front.

congrats in advance aNthraxx. what variant are you getting? Planning on getting a 1.5V hatchback soon, hopefully before our out-of-town at the end of Dec. I'm torn between black and silver/gray.

Hoping for a white or silver. Would have loved the 2.0 sedan but the "boss" would not agree to it. Lol. Maxado daw mahal So 1.5 V sedan is best.

Kaya pala it looks different in one picture to the next. Would have loved to see it in the metal, the test unit of the dealer here is white.

was reading other topics on the tsikot forum about car alarm etc. I was wondering sa mga current 2014 MZ3 owners, ok ba ang alarm ng MZ3? or is it better to get an after market? Have an old school 2000 car and curious as to keyless entry etc esp when you leave it inside the car. Will it lock automatically or you still need to press the lock button (for 1.5V)? Lastly, I'm just a bit worried about Mazda parts and accessories. Are they easy to find? I drive a Honda Civic kasi and it's pretty easy to get parts/accessories kasi common yun car.

It has an immobilizer already so I don't see a need for an alarm that everyone ignores anyway.

On the 1.5 the doors are locked via the remote. The 2.0 has buttons on the door handle for locking and unlocking by someone holding the key similar to the Mirage GLS.

thanks for recommending sir JohnM. For those looking for OEM accessories may makukuhanan na rin ako nung iba, like yung para sa hood na insulator, nakita ko kasi wala pala sa lumalabas na units yun pero meron yung nakadisplay sa casa although the price is higher than those found sa aftermarket

patay. haha. it hasn't been a few days and meron na akong nakitang mga scratches sa hood ko, probably due to flying stone bits when I was driving through Osmena hway

gabi na kasi nung lumabas kaya di ko rin masugod kagad sa big berts. pero ang nainquire ko sa kanila parang pangmaintain lang daw yun ng paint quality and hindi actually nakakaprotect sa ganong klaseng mga scratches

Baka pwede pa Foilacar ng clear for the front lang. Not gonna be cheap though

super newbie here. Do you recommend to do this right after getting the car? Where is the best place to get this done? Any recommendations especially in the south area like Alabang?

I stopped worrying about scratches and small chips a long time ago. Lol. Personally i think its too tedious to protect the paint especially if its a daily drive car.

Baka pwede pa Foilacar ng clear for the front lang. Not gonna be cheap though

not sure kung pwedeng partial protection lang, pero i asked foilacar for a quote and 60+k daw para sa buong sasakyan. kung pina-insurance para iparepaint mas malaki pa ata matitipid ko haha

Whoa?! 60k is a lot of money, your right it would be cheaper to repaint it.

My daily drive is black, so you can just imagine the damage overtime on the paint. i used to live in denial but eventually came into acceptance that paints would not be pristine as timee goes by. Lol

but black is pretty easy color to repaint, mas mahirap pag other colors since possible na lumabas na ibang shade once repainted.

Nde sya LED sa 1.5V na katulad sa 2.0 or top of the line nila.
