Around 400-450k I'd say for a 5-year old Mazda 3 1.5. Mazda has poor resale but that doesn't mean you can't get a fair bit of money out of it.

Just because driving dynamics are a top priority doesn't mean that resale value should be ignored altogether. If you buy a car and have plans of selling it within the next decade, then resale value matters. A car with a slightly higher SRP but with better resale value will end up having the same cost as a cheaper car with poor resale value. Unless of course you don't care about money altogether, in which case you should just get an MX5.

Resale? Min3 are usually ground to the ground. I was given way more than what I paid for. I'll be fine w/ ZERO.
Can't imagine myself in any other amongst its class anyway, regardless of their so-called projected resale & imagined brand equity.
Plus, most out there are now w/ disposable dreaded CVTs that'll eventually see pricey rebuilds or replacements...& NO YOJIN!
Look around....I've yet to M3et a sad Mown3r. Not too many may get why til they get to own 1....Or we may just be too intoxicated by kodo????
One huge disadvantage w/ this, I'd have to admit....I'm still not comfortable being stared at.😎😣 I'm hoping its increased population will help wear off the unwelcoM3d attraction.

    Cheers!!!!!🍺🍺
    Enjoy your V-weekend, guys.

Not to be snippy here , i had a hond civic for 5 years , srp was 800kish nd sold it for 210k (because i needed the money ) resale is subjective , its between you and the buyer, if he low balls you then dont sell it and wait till the right buyer comes along (altis with same age was sold for 40k more) 40k for 6 years for a car that had old tech and was boring to drive to begin with "no thanks " .i will not suffer 6 years of mehhh just for 40k . The 2nd gen m3 was known for being a gas guzzling machine ( fords fault) but the m3 now is a totally new animal and will demand more . Saying your toyota or honda should cost more is for people that buy cars that just need a machine to take them simply from point a to point b , they are not TRUE enthusiasts , people buy cars because that is what best suits them and makes them happy for 6 years of their lives . Bmw , mercs , audi, all exotics have all bad resale but they buy them because it makes them feel good . Car buying is a selfish notion and should make you feel good no matter what brand you choose , and not how much it will cost 10 years down the line because in 10 years (lets be technical) a car is almost fully depreciated so whatever you get in return is gravy.

Yes, of course. We all have our individual constraints (including but not limited to financial constraints) , and we make our choices based on what brings us the greatest utility or happiness based on the options that our circumstances have made available to us.

Pricier won't guarantee you the same degree of happiness, boomshine brah.
I'm honestly thankful my limited budget pointed me to my hobo.
I've had countless funny encounters w/ clueless people coming up to ask about the car thinking it's some premium compact...only to drop jaws & shake heads upon learning it's value & it being JUST A LOW RESALE MAZDA.:D
I should've taken pics of their reactions. Haha....Dunno if there's any in that segment that can dupe people like that....naughty tricky Mazda. What have you done? Tsk tsk tsk.
This car is hobo but so far from looking & feeling it....
I wouldn't be surprised if this 'We're the Millers' guy were really a Mown3r...hahaha

On a less humorous note, I know of some new car owners who felt they purchased the wrong car upon seeing how good the M has turned out to be.
Be glad you're not among them...enjoy your Mown3rship, brah!

Agree. I know many na sising sisi na sana Mazda 3 na lang. I am not a brand fan or loyal ever since but today's Mazda is just so good and true! =)

For me, it's love at first sit (no typo error here), when I first sat on a Mazda 3 at a Mazda showroom in China, I immediately feel connected with the car, happy and no regrets that I chose this rather than the altis.

Hi travs im very happy with my 1.5 inggit lang ako sa headlight and rims ng mga naka 2.0 hahaha. Mazda 3 is my top pick among my other choices: ford focus hb, honda civic and toyota altis. Yojin 3 is also a great factor.

The reason why I also wanted an SUV/CUV is because of family outings and also for higher ground clearance.
