Hi Sir! I'm Bry, a noob M3 owner soon.

Just wanna ask some questions regarding M3, since I'll be getting one on my birthday (excited)

    1. I only have budget for the 1.5V Hatch till May. Is it nice to get it by that time, or wait a little more to get TOTL?

    2. If ever I'll be getting a 1.5V, what's the best thing to add to make it look a little closer to TOTL? (1M budget really haha)

    3. What can you suggest a noob car owner like me ( car care, etc) especially for the M3?

    Thaaanks!

Do you need the car soon? Do you think you can live w/o the car until you saveup for the TOTL? How long till you save up? You can still reserve for the TOTL, hindi naman agad makukuha unit since may waiting list.

    1. If you're willing to save, perhaps you'll consider other cars in the 1.2M range? I mean sure, the 2.0 Mazda 3 is the best compact no doubt. But that much money can get you an ASX, HRV, RAV4, or XV. All more versatile cars, roughly the same power, but of course not as well-kitted.

    2. Simple - get 2.0 18" rims and the 2.0 ducktail. These 2 mods will make your 1.5 Mazda look much, much, much, much better. The stock 1.5 just looks so starved.

    3. Buy a car first, then make your way from there. No use theorizing how to take care of your car until you have it. There's so much to learn, the experience of ownership will be your syllabus on what you need to learn first.

    Hey there bro!!

    1. Congrats on your decision to purchase an awesome car!!! If you're young and have the extra money, buy the TOTL, go for it! You only live once, so do what you can while able! But if you're also practical like most people, the 1.5v will be more than enough for you. The features are better compared to others in the same bracket. And The nice thing about Mazda is they only gave us 2 options! Only great or greater!

    2. In case you buy the 1.5v, just buy a set of 18s 2.0 rims or look at aftermarket options like Rotas but you should replace the stock 16s with atleast 18s. Don't settle for anything less. Hehehe. You should also aim for aftermarket exhaust if you want dual-pipes.

    3. While waiting for the moment, you can already buy the necessary cleaning kit! Make sure to buy the microtex washmitt, microtex ultraplush for ocassional waxing, microtex elite for drying, microtex shampoo, tireblack. You can rely on Microtex for most cleaning products you'll ever need! Don't let any dealer clean your car! Go to a reputable carwash shop all the time, or just do it yourself.

    Advance happy birthday brother!

For M3-specific mods, try checking the list on page 346 & map out your plans. Treat modding as a foreplay-filled journey, not a quickie. Haha... That way, you'll enjoy each & every more...& catch your breath in between....
Let's let 1.5 pics do the talking. None of the Mown3rs below had any remorse w/ their 1.5s whatsoever...hehe...

& Oh, why wait? Don't you know the end is near?:D

Congratulations and good choice of car . Buy a car because it makes you happy (of course with a bit of research ) ,dont choose a car because of resale or prestige of name (unless thats your trip) .For me toyota dropped the ball as they have boring basic cars for a premium price , honda .....well...lets say they just have a very good engine but old and outdated also , you have to be smart when buying a car now a days. Curious about the new civic though (1.5t). Crossovers are practical but not engaging to drive, and heavy so your performance will suffer (145 hp on a heavy car will feel underpowered, .......XV) . If your single the m3 (though considered small) will have more than enough space (who the hell has 4-5 pasengers in their car 90% of the time?) . You buy a car for yourself and not for your friends . If you did your research and based your choice with your lifestyle then dont second guess yourself. My only suggestion (keep your car clean and as much as possible not under the sun for prolonged periods ,as it will destroy your paint and dash eventually.

Dont get me wrong guys im sure the altis is good but i will not buy a car for 1.2m (2.0) when the car and what it has is only worth 900k-1m (2.0) BTW the ASX HRV,and XV dont have trunk space might as well get a hatch

Among the many awards Mazda & the 3 has earned, Car and Driver magazine has recently named the 2016 Mazda3(best compact again) and MX-5 Miata to its annual 10Best vehicle awards, continuing the brand's strong showing as the only automaker to have taken two spots on the list each year for the last three years...
Why do you think? Own 1 to join in on the intoxication.

So, to appease my OCD, I hooked my scangauge fulltime.... logged coolant, intake temps w/ & w/o the relocator.....in standstill traffic jams, up the slopes, twisties & long straights..spiritedly...during awefully hot days as well. Surprisingly, I never found them to be beyond working temps.
I've had the relocator on a year now & I've never seen 3 digit temps hit this M3 that I've seen in my other cars. I'm amazed at the cooling system & this is a high compression engine!
Had I seen anything alarming, I'd be the 1st to run as far away from this mod.
Look into the bumper, you'll see lotsa room for air. This relocator lets the plate sit way out front free of the bumper lip, too. I believe that helped.
If you compare the M6 lower grille+plate, you'll see there isn't much difference. It may even draw less air by having the plate bolted onto the bumper face.

Thanks for the interest, sir, & for bringing up this vital point that was my 1st & foremost concern. I hope I had addressed the question, sir tolits.

So.. I got an offer I couldn't refuse by the modfath3r yesterday, so eventually all my sense of reason left me (along with my wheel gap). Here's the result. [emoji28]
