Thanks sir trav for the video. The plate light lamp of the mazda 6 is somehow spacious compared to the 3 hatchback. I wish the 3 hb has the same.. I cant insert my finger on the side so I can easily remove the plastic lamp with the flat head screwdriver.

The flat head screwdriver must be wrap with soft cloth to avoid damage on the plastic lamp according to the manual.

Which panel is that on? If plastic, don't worry. If metal, please look closer & make sure it isn't rust.....

That's plastic. Rock chip most likely. Nothing to lose sleep over. Retouching will give you a finish inferior to factory. I'd leave it alone, chiezee sir....
If it's any consolation, I'm even leaving these painful cat scratches alone.

M3 hatch plate light cover has ears similar to the M6 in the vid:

The M3 SEDAN plate light has no ears, as shared here by our good brothah, jet747:

    Jet747 further shared:
"You can't pry off the lens on our m3 SEDANs like the m6 in the video. They had to remove the trunk liner on mine to access the bulbs."

    Thanks, jet brah!👍☺

Thanks, sparcom sir. I might just try that someday. I fear my writing hand isn't as steady as it used to be. Results might even be worse.
