Yep, my wife ordered sinanglao and i tasted it, same but a bit different from bulalo. I myself had 2 orders of ilocano dinuguan with puto, much better! I also had ilocano style pork adobo and it brought back memories of my grandmother. Madami na ko natikman na adobo but none compares to the way my grandma cooked it. I had a taste of it again in vigan. The trip was worth it for that alone!

subukan nyo rin mga kasama ang empanada ng batac at vigan then you be the judge. atsaka miki.

O yes the empanada. Yan meryenda namin dun sa malacanang of the north, washed down with fresh coconut. They cook it right there sa store sa may entrance.

From balintawak toshell rosario via end of tplex, more or less 3hrs lang. From rosario to vigan, maganda kalsada, me konti repairs lsmg. Could have gotten the trip to vigan in 4 hrs sana, kaso ang nagpapatagal sa byahe ay yung mga trisikel na ayaw sa gilid at mga slow moving traffic ng cities.

jan 1-2, Vigan Plaza Hotel. we got the governor suite which was the only one available, nag-add na lang ng extra beds for the kids. wala kaming reservations in any hotel kasi it was a spur of the moment trip, just decided 2 days earlier. dun na din kami kumain ng dinner kasi dun sa mga restos sa heritage village ang haba ng waiting list and it was already very late. for lunch the next day we ate at hidden gardens.

jan 4-5, Cordillera Inn, same area din lang around Plaza Burgos. it was at a fraction of the price of Vigan Plaza, low budget na kasi kami hahaha! Our stop-over at Vigan on the way home was rather unplanned. pagod na lang kasi kami kaka-ikot and decided to rest for the night before continuing back to home.
