Planning on upgrading my rims and tires of my Ford Ranger, since sa Concept One Wheels ko binili yung sa Ford Fiesta. Okay ba yung Saffiro H/T tires for my Ranger? Okay naman siya sa Ford Fiesta ko so far. Almost a year ko na rin siya gamit sa Fiesta ko. Pero hindi ko lang alam kung may feedback ba sa H/T tires nila. Thank you if ever may mga mag feedback. Laki rin difference from Nitto eh.

Check the alignment ... Yeah, it's fixed axle but still ... your tires are showing reason to check ... orrrrr ... someone, somewhere, somehow, your rear tires were replaced ...

    my wild thoughts,
    1. kaskasero ang driver, who will probably deny it to death, or does not even know he is a kaskasero. quite easy if vehicle is torque-y.
    2. na-isahan po kayo ng palit-gulong gang.

Definitely kaskasero yung driver. I know, because there is no other way my father drives. [emoji23] Can't have been replaced either since they are still Nankang CW25s manufactured in 2017.

I am just surprised that high torque RWD vehicles can actually consume rear tires faster than front tires.

those breadbox vans are very light when empty of rear passengers.
with good torque applied, the rear wheels will definitely spin against that sandpaper-of-a-road surface.
my besta's rear wheels used to slip when going up the steep office ramp.

^According to official specs, curb weight is actually a portly 1940kgs! I drive this van once a week, and while it is relatively easy to have the Santa Fe spin a tire, I have never been able to with this one even with brake torquing. No steep parking ramps either.

Is it true that you need to change tires every 6 or so years?
My wheels are still quite ok in tread depth but it's about 7 years old.
If I do need to change, what are good brands for about 5k budget per wheel (4k being better)
Yokohama? Michelin? Tires are 215/50 17. I guess priority would be safety, then comfort and quietness then performance.
    Thanks so much!

^ you're actually pushing your luck w/ 5 year old tires

Not sure if pasok na the tire brands you mentioned in your budget but there are lots of decent budget tires in the market today.

Indon brands like gt radial, achilles, & neuton are ok. Korean made ones are nexxen & hankook. Then there's taiwanese made rubbers like nankang.

When it comes to chinese makes, i can only recommend sailun.

do what you gotta do so you can do what you wanna do

    Thanks for the reply.
So far for the brands that have replied to me online, most of them fall between 7-9k per tire (ouch) and comparing them to online reviews, the better ones are either sporty tires (pilot sport 4 or pxc1s) or the touring tires (drb or primacy 3). Gt radial also is offering the gtx pro for about 4k, which is a good price but I can't seem to find any reviews of it. Guess I should look around more, like in snr or other shops. Any tips? Thank you.

Nasa magkano usually ang Toyo tires? 185/55r15.
Around 4.5 months na ang tires ko and I think it's about time to change it kahit makapal pa ang tread.

I inquired sa Tyreplus pque and their BF Goodrich Adv/t Drive is 3,440. Baka mas mura ang Toyo. Or is it already a good deal for BF Goodrich?

    My bad, 4.5 years.

I spied some cracks na rin kasi on one tire when the car was getting new springs installed. Superficial naman daw when I asked a mechanic.

Delikado na yan. Tires should be replaced 6 years max. A lot of tire blowouts on the highway are due to expired tires.
