Falken is Japan co., di ba?
The Falkens are better. Worth the extra 200 per tire.

    thanks, Sir jut703.

Better in what way? The Ziex 914 is a pretty decent daily driver tire. Unless you'll be racing your car, I don't see the need for the more expensive Continentals.

And if you really want expensive tires, get the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 instead. Much better than any tire in its price range.

    Sp00nman,

I've been using Falken for almost 1 year, no problem.

    Kumho is also okay.

Try going to Minerva Tyre Gallery in Macapagal for Kumho.

I noticed you are from Batangas, there's Minerva Tyre branch sa Sta. Rosa - Tagaytay Road.

Just got back from Minerva Malvar Batangas, they don't have Falken for my wheel size. The lady was offering me Dunlop, actually pushing me to get SP Touring LM 704 for a tempting 2900/tire. But I would still try to shop for Falken, I may visit Minerva Sta Rosa tomorrow, also S&R Nuvali.

What about Maxxis, for 3500 each, also in Malvar Batangas?

My tires are still stock and its continental contipremium contact 2, 195/65R15. 4yrs na * 53k km. Rotated twice. Manufactured 2014.

Di pa nya naabot yun thread indicator pero given the age, nag c-check na din for new tires. Desidido na ako na continental tires pa din until i read this comment from jut.

Can i expect the same, or better performance with Falken tires?

Btw, a store in Banaue quoted me 3,950 each for conti comfort 6, free install and balancing.

Me new Minerva Tire Depot along the way ng papuntang Paseo de Sta Rosa pag nag exit ka ng ETON sa side ng Shell(across Petron), wala pa sila customer kaya pinipilit na ako.. Yokohama is 3840/tire and Michellin XM2 4490/tire..

Sa S&R Michellin XM2 lang pero balancing lang ang ginagawa nila, sa old Minerva along Sta Rosa - Tagaytay road, meron Kumho 3600/tire pero last year pa manufactured.
Me malaking impact ba kung previous year yung gulong?

What about Kumho, okay din ba?

I got the Michelin Energy XM2 for 4490/tire * Minerva Real Calamba..

But leaning for quiet and comfortable ride.

    -Yokohama Advan Fleva
    -Hankook ventus V12
    -Accelera Phi
    -Gt radial Champiro HPY

Advan Fleva is the best among the choices.

Yes i just saw the Minerva Tire Depot near Eton exit last weekend.

AFAIK the makers of Kumho is also the makers of Michelin. But of course the premium brand is always better.

I would think twice using that tire from 2014. Check the manufacture date. Tires need to be replaced after 5 years even if it was not used.

No. They are 2 different companies. Kumho is Korean and is 2nd tier at best. Michelin is French and has top shelf positioning (premium segment). I think you're referring to the company that imports them.

    3414 or 3rd week of Aug 2014..

Sa mga nababasa ko sa web eh 5-6 years life span used and unused tire. So pwede pa naman siguro at least this year, pero kung me praktikal na presyo kukuha ulit ako ng 2.

    Thanks, Egan101 ...!!!
