Na-feature, pero di pa siya for release. If they do, probably by December of this year.

mas upscale ng konti ang hyundai... while mas barebones version ang offer ng kia. so expect it to be priced lower than the tucson (minus some features).

Mas upscale ang Sportage na ibebenta ng Kia Philippines though available only in 2.0 CVVT 2WD A/T ang Sportage(2.0 CVVT M/T and 2.0 CRDI will be launched next year....).May ABS,disc brakes sa rear at leather with fabric seat trim ang lahat ng Sportage 2.0 CVVT A/T na ibebenta rito.Grabe pogi talaga ng Sportage

Surplus??? We get the same models they send there in the Philippines minus the diesel engine(which I hope they bring in someday). The only difference may be the interior content since safety requirements differ in each country. We got the 1st gen Sportage as the Philippines so I don't know what you mean by surplus.

The diesel variant Gen 1 sportage that are here in Cebu are from Korea...

No way to compare the fuel efficiency of the Sportage, di pa siya released.

Yung engine nyan ay yung sa Asia/Kia Rocsta diba?Mayroon ako noong nakita nyan sa Signet sa Mandaluyong noong 2003 pero duda ko nandun pa yan anyway malaki at diesel nga ang Grand Sportage pero hindi siya sumikat.I hope the new Sportage will be a hit...

We already have threads on the Sportage, but there are no official test drives yet. Expect it to drive a lot like the Hyundai Tucson because it uses the same chassis and engines.

saw one yesterday at kia pasay when i had our sorento serviced for 15k PMS.

it looks nice especially the rear portion - ganda!
inside, it's like a small sorento.

the marketing guy said P969T daw ang introductory price.

it's 2.0 liter gas. mcpherson strut front and 2-link coil at the back, i think (i left the flyer at home).
if i recall, the colored flyer says it has ABS already and discs on all. kaya lang yesterday the agent said drum lang daw yung rear. bigla tuloy ako nalito.

tire size is 235 on 16 inch wheels.

overall, i think it's a good competition to the tucson.
