IMHO, you might consider ford everest if you are going to use it for off road. The Sportage and Tuscon is designed for light off roading....

Anyway, I hope our fellow tsikoters can enlighten us regarding the off road capability of those two vehicles.

Yup, dapat yung may mga chasis para mas matibay (although mas matagtag nga lang) and for your peace of mind kahit talagang steep and rocky ang terrain. Aside from the Ford Everest (4x4), you may also consider the Toyota Fortuner (4x4), Mitsu Montero Sport (4x4), and Isuzu Alterra (4x4).

Ok naman ang Sportage lalo na may Dual Airbags at ABS na ang both 2WD at 4WD variants.

i just bought a black kia sportage 2WD last month. so far i'm very very happy with the performance of this suv. 3,000+km na tinakbo, wala pa naman naging problem upto this time. hehehe. sana until matapos yung warranty. totoo lahat ang mag nabasa ko dito sa forum. im thanking everyone who shared their experiences from this vehicle. ngayon lang ako bumili ng car kasi i know maglalabas n sila ng bagong model maybe next year or so, so naghintay lang ako ng pagkakataon na humingi ng malaking discount sa dealer. plus yung free pa nilang comprehensive insurance with AOG, chattel mortgage, 3Mtint, matting, seat cover.
