if i recall, the colored flyer says it has ABS already and discs on all. kaya lang yesterday the agent said drum lang daw yung rear. bigla tuloy ako nalito.

Same as the Grand Vitara... uses rear drums brakes.

Grabe, ang mura naman ng Sportage... sana malaki din yung interior space.

969K ang presyo nang Sportage 2.0 A/T at may leather sets(semi nga lang) at ABS siya kaya ok na!!!

I had a chance to drive the Sportage during the Bumper2Bumper motorshow in Tiendesitas. Well for me, the handling is similar to the Tucson. The non-CRDi engine is good but I still prefer the Tuscon's CRDi over it. It lacks Airbags too.

Wala din SRS yung Tucson unless you get the topline CRDi AWD.

At least the Sportage offers ABS.

Both are nice vehicles.

sportage has ABS and disc brake on all
i just did dirve test this morning
cool interior, it has beige and black to choose
for me,the dash board is cooler than tucson.
sportage also comes with fabric/leather combination seats (looks just so-so)
aircon good, sound system not bad (JVC)
price is 969k not including LTO and insurance.
hard to get discount even for cash buyer coz it's a newly released vehicle.

I guess wala pang Sportage owners dito sa forum. Actually, I've never seen a single Sportage on the street. Maybe Kia should advertise it para may customer awareness

I've seen 1 here in Pasay Libertad still w/o plates. For me I like this better than Tucson. Boxier and Euro look. Mula nang lumabas mga bagong models ng Kia Hyundai. I'm a Korean car fan. That's just me.

Spoke to a Kia Sales Executive last night, he said that the Sportage CRDi will be released later this month.

It will share the same 2.0 engine as the Tucson and it will be full-time AWD.

Price will be around 1.1m.

I think that new Sportage CRDI 4WD will debut sa Manila Auto Show...At least may CRDI 4WD variant na kasi yung sa Hyundai wala na silang CRDI 4WD na Tucson..

sir may 4wd crdi po tau na tucson kaso mejo mahal po compared sa sportage price po is 1,225,000. automatic po sya w/ manual mode parang sa mazda 3

hi newbie here... i'm currently choosing between a tucson and a sportage (which is within my budget of a sub 1M CUV)... it seems there's a lot of satisfied tucson owners here but no feedback from sportage owners... how is the reliability of the sportage?

OT i've read some of the comparisons between the two but no real testimonial from a sportage owner as oppose to tucson owners. makes me wonder if the added ABS and disc breaks is enough to compensate the lack of ownership for the sportage...
