Thinking of getting a Sorento. Would you guys happen to know if Kia still has the high trade in
    value for old cars?

Visited Kia Global but according to the agent pang catch lang daw yun ng attention. WTF?

hey guys! I have mentioned before that i think my brake sensor thing for the brake light and push start button and also for the shift stick (from Neutral to Reverse) is messed up and I havent been to my dealer yet to get it fixed because it's really far from where I live. do you guys think I can get it adjusted or fixed with another dealer or CASA? I got my unit from Kia North EDSA

bakit kaya hindi pareho ang light pattern ng LED TAIL LIGHTS ng sorento SX (US VERSION) at sorento deluxe? sa itsura walang pinagkaiba pero sa light pattern magkaiba. eto yung sx kapag naka on ang park light.

Question lang. Ganoon ba kahirap mag book ng test drive sa Kia? Called them earlier today and wanted to book a test drive.
They said I have to deposit 10k before I can test drive a Sorento. The branch I called was Kia in macapagal ave.

Dealers like this don't deserve your hard-earned money.

Walang tiwala sa sariling product at kelangan may deposit muna?

*mda, thanks. Just pisses me off that they have to ask for money first. I was able to test drive other vehicles without having to go through something like this.

Any kia dealers you guys can recommend?

Not sure din. Actually I cannot honestly recommend a Kia at this point in time.

Parang kokonti palang kasi yung dealership network niya.

[Not to derail the thread nor to discredit Kia, who do seem to make nice cars:]

Parang mas confidence-inspiring yung Hyundai kahit papano, even if the Sorento = Sta Fe, Sportage = Tucson. It's probably the dealer network and the feedback you hear regarding their service etc.

If I were given the choice, I'd stick to the traditionals like Honda/Toyota as long as they don't try to screw us over with overpriced, underspecced units (which they are trying to do so right now).

Hindi sa fanboy-ism. It's just that 1M+ isn't really easy to come by and I don't want to leave things to chance when making these purchase decisions.

Apart from the H and T, Hyundai is quickly looking like a brand I could trust (not only with their vehicles but also their local service). Our experience with our Starex and Tucson will make or break this opinion in the next few years.

Well said. Right now I am narrowing down my choices. It was Kia Sorento, Hyundai Sonata, Honda Accord, Toyota Camry.
I scratched the Kia off my list now. I guess some dealers don't understand that 1M+ isn't easy to come by. If they did they would have been
more happy to assist me with my test drive request.

    They lost a customer. Sayang.

Not considering the Hyundai Sta Fe? It's mechanically similar to the Sorento.

Also (off topic already), everything in your shortlist except the Sonata is due for replacement soon.

The new Camry is out in the US already. The new Sta Fe (and therefore and also, the Sorento) is launching in the US this April/May. The Accord is due sometime late this year/early next year.

FYI lang, maybe you'd like to wait kasi hehe

EDIT: on second thought, I guess given my choices, sonata is the better choice.
