Do you know the maintenance costs for a 2.0 CRDi KIA Sorento (seen here)? I don't really know whether I can afford this beautiful car. Of course the financing is okay but I don't know how much I've to budget for maintenance per month.

Has anyone here tried to replace their stock air filter with a K&N element? Does this void the warranty? I heard before that K&N filters would not void engine warranties.

Also, I'm having a difficult time removing the cover of the air filter. Paano ba buksan ito?

For some void ang warranty. Pero depende na siguro sa diskarte yan. Pag may problem na lumabas, balik mo lang yung OEM filter bago dalahin sa Casa.

Itago mo lang yung OEM air filter.

Pero hindi ba makikita yun K&N during PMS check up? Or should I replace the K&N before I go for each PMS? Di kaya magtaka yung mechanic bakit parang di dumudumi ang stock filter?

- "Paki note na huwag pakialaman yung air filter kasi K&N yun"
- "Paki note na bugahan lang ng compressed air yung air filter kasi K&N yun"

I noticed recently that my Sorento vibrates more than normal right after engine start ups. The vibration can be felt on the driver and front passenger seats. The engine rpm is stable at 1,000rpm so it can't be an idle up problem. Anyone of you experienced this on the 2010-2011 Sorento? I'm thinking it could either be an ignition problem or probably a broken engine support. The vibration lessens a bit after the engine warms up na.

It is odd for a petrol engine to have that kind of vibration. Ganyan palagi tuwing cold start?

Isip ko rin posible na kulang sa takbo, hehe. I hardly use my Sorento din, 1 year na pero 10,000 KM pa lang tinakbo. Possible na kulang sa exercise.

Bro SG, konti lang for me yung 10,000 km/year mileage, coz 1 car household lang kami. Lapit lang kasi bahay ko sa office, 1 kanto lang. Pero once a week kami nag out of town trip to Cavite.

Hopefully next year 2 car household na, depnede sa takbo ng ipon.

Just finished my 2nd PMS for my Sorento. Kia Pasay replaced my cabin filter (which madumi na), and road tested my car to see if may smell pa from the aircon. So far, wala na. Re: idling issue, everything was normal naman and when I got the car after the check up the idling was ok naman. The vibration was gone. Fuel cap issue was also addressed, they just re-aligned it. Closing the lid requires a gentle touch, so I have to notify the gas boys whenever I fill up.

Overall, PMS experience with Kia Pasay is 2 thumbs up, highly recommended.

guys, im selling my brand new/unused 2011 kia sorento crossbar kit. fits at LX and EX trim. Im supposed to use it with my bike but I decided to buy tow hitch receiver for my bike rack from hitchpro.
