actually there is a picanto club meetings before the new picanto came out. But nagkatamaran na and marami sa mga original owners or picanto 04 model up sold their picanto. and alot of picanto owners are not interested in meetings joining the club.

Nakikita ko nga yung mga pictures nila dati sir kaso hindi na nadagdagan...sana mabalik yung interest nila sa picanto para magkaroon ng meeting ulit...

Hi Guys,

Just got my 1.2L MT last week. It came with the 2DIN head unit. Kaso hindi ko mapagana yung iPad gamit yung cable ng head unit. Meron po ba sa inyo naka encounter din nun?

Sobrang useless yung kasamang Users Manual nung head unit.

filmblender, nice! 1.2 ka rin! pano mo na-negotiate yung 2-din headunit? i really tried to negotiate pero ayaw mag-budge nung SA. how much kuha mo? All-in plan ba yan? try to use bluetooth instead of the cable. naka-kabit yung headunit ko (stock) sa bluetooth ng tablet ng GF ko. she found it really easy to connect. the case might be the same for your headunit. note na 1-din JVC stock headunit ko so baka iba ang experience niyo. samin kasi sobrang dali, nagulat nga ako na na-pair ng GF ko yung headunit tsaka android tablet niya eh hehe.

simplest method would be to buy a 3.5 jack para sa tablet and headunit

yup, carwash ko siguro bukas. mukha na namang di maulan today hehe.

as for bluetooth, 1-din ba yan na JVC? si GF lang kasi ang marunong eh.. binasa lang niya yung manual while following instructions sa manual. pagkatanda ko is that she had to set names and passwords para sa bluetooth pairing via the headunit and the tablet. after nung initial setup, madali nang mag-pair..

hivemind, ehehehe nakuha ko yung all in 25% yung down, umabot din ng 760+, na all in din yung ipon ko eh.

Pinilit ko isama nila yung 2-din na head unit pati rain guard. Meron ako nung cable at na pair ko na din gamit bluetooth kaso hindi gumagana yung controls sa head unit, kelangan sa tablet pa din pag kelangan controllin yung audio, sayang kasi parang useless lang yung malaking screen kung hindi magagamit.

anyway, small update. ended my full tank run at 17KM/L for this period woohoo! this is the best FC i got from my 1.2 so far pretty much happy hehe. sana gumanda pa while approaching my first PMS period..

i also got a voucher from KIA recently. the first PMS voucher was mailed to me last week. pagkaintindi ko eh libre na ang first PMS ko? i don't know how i was chosen to receive the voucher but it made me quite happy. asa 3500+ KM na picanto ko ngayon. sana libre nga haha~!

cal0i, not so sure.. parang wala namang sense na pumasok ako for PMS at 3500KMs.. i'm assuming na libre na 7500K PMS ko pag dating ng time na yun. wala namang expiry date akong nakita sa voucher eh haha! nakakatawa naman yun kung susubukan ko umabot ng 7500KM in a limited span of time para makuha ko lang yung libreng PMS :P

text ko siguro SA ko to figure out the mechanics. sana libre ang 1st PMS ko tanong ko din kung may "expiry date" yung voucher hehe.

Ehehehe. Hindi ako pumayag kasi umalis ako ng KIA ng 800 na lang ang pera sa bulsa.

Anyways, sinusubukan ko yung "real-time" gas consumption meter kaso pag ime-maintain ko siya sa <10 parang kulang sa hatak? Pano ba magandang diskarte? Shift na ng 2000 rpm?

BTW first full tank 8.0L/km sa onboard, pinaabot ko sa last line ng gauge. Tapos ngayon nasa 7.6 nasa line below half ng gauge so tingin ko nag improve naman. Ehehe hindi ako marunong mag sukat ng FC. Meron ba mano-manong technique? nasa 550+ kms na siya.

filmblender, kulang talaga sa hatak yung picanto at gears 1 and 2 as i've observed. masmaganda rin na mag-shift sa 2K RPM. i used to shift during lower RPS pero panget talaga yung pakiramdam nung kotse nung ginagawa ko yun. i noticed that the car pulls well at gear 3 above 2KRPM. ganyan din picanto ko dati.. nasa 7-8L/100KM din ako nung early KMs ko. Onboard computer now says im at an average of 5.3L/100KM so that's around 18.86KM / L.

How to compute FC by niky

1. Go to gasoline station. (preferably near your house).

2. Reset trip meter. (it's the sub-function of the odometer (kilometers) display on your dashboard... check your manual on how to do it, but it's usually just a matter of holding down the button to reset it.)

3. Fill tank to the automatic cut-off (I.E.: "first click lang po")

4. Drive around as normal for a day or two... however long it takes you to use up the gasoline. The most accurate way to do this measurement is to use a full tank of gas, but if you can't wait that long, a half-tank is good enough.

5. Fill the tank again at the exact same pump... hopefully at the same time of day. ("first click lang po..." don't let them top it off to the brim)

6. Take the distance travelled on the trip-meter, then divide by the number of liters it takes to fill the tank again. That's your km/l consumption.

Take note: Your car's odometer is not accurate. Many odometers read a bit fast (around 1-5%). Thus, your km/l reading will be inaccurate by a little bit. I've gauged my odometer as being about 5% slow (against a GPS device), so when I measure 9 km/l, it's actually about 9.5.

If you don't have a GPS device, the only way to gauge odometer error is to check it against the kilometer markers on a smooth, level road (like sections of the NLEX). If there are hills, though, the KM markers go off a bit, too...

hi everyone...purchased 1.2 picanto last june...overall i'm happy with the car except for the fuel consumption...
meter reads that i'm consuming an average of 8.7L/100kms which translates to 11.5 km/l...but when i did the manual computation
(having my full tank then ran my pic for 200km city drive, filled up again) i only had 8.6 km/l...not bad if what i have is an SUV...cant help but compare it with my 8 year old 1.3L honda city which has a fuel consumption of 12km/l city driving...:sigh:

sana nga mgimprove pa sya...nasa 2k++ na kilometer reading ko eh...medyo napasarap gamitin kaya 2months old pa lang ganyan na itinakbo...nagpa 1st pms na nga ako nun nag 1,800km sya...parang antagal kse yun 7,500 nasanay ako sa toyota and honda na 1st 1k then 5k or 10k ang pms ...ok na ok para sakin itong auto nato...yun FC lang talaga ang di ok

yup pumayag naman sila...tutal ako naman daw gagastos ...oil lang and oil filter ang pinalitan then yung mga usual na chinecheck nila every pms...pina adjust ko din yun clutch pedal para medyo hawig sa toyota and honda yun tapak...medyo malalim kasi itong sa pic natin...nagulat nga ako sa gastos kse 1,800++ lang inabot...sa honda kse around 4k inaabot ko on average
