2011 sir. Di ko nga alam bat natunaw. Nakita ko na lang nakalaylay na yung ilaw nung nagcar-wash ako. Pagkuha ko nung ilaw kasama na yung turnilyo. Sa evangelista kaya sir, meron nagpafiber? May idea po kayo kung how much? Thanks!

Hey guys,

Pahelp naman po. Baka may alam kayong alternative na pwedeng gawin para makabit yung reverse lights ng Picanto ko. Natanggal kasi yung isa sa mga reverse lights ko, parang natunaw yung pinagkakabitan. Dinala ko sa casa, 10k yung quote dahil kelangan daw palitan yung buong rear bumper which is very unreasonable since yung light lang naman yung problem. Pwede kaya ipafiber yun para makabit?

Yup, 10k. 5,500 for the rear bumper, 3k for the paint job, 1,500 for the labor. Di daw included sa warranty yun sir. Piniplit kasi nila na parang may ibang gumalaw nung pagkakadikit nung ilaw. Di daw ganun dapat ichura nun.

try another branch. kahit naman saan kia pwede magclaim ng warranty.

kumusta na mga paps? kakatapos ko lang ng 1st PMs ko at around 7800 KMs. i was supposed to go earlier pero nag-yaya magtagaytay GF ko so i had to extend my schedule for a bit.

anyway, no complaints sa 1st PMS ko sa service station ng KIA sa may Pasong Tamo extension. they credited the gift certificate i had and gave everything for free. total expense should have been 4,100+ pesos so i was quite thankful that i had the gift certificate they replace oil (mineral), oil filter, air filter, microfilter, tightened the underchasis and gave the car a wash.

only hiccup was trying to lift the car. my picanto was so low that they had to manually lift the car via its fenders (binuhat ni manong ang picanto) and slide the lifter underneath the car. they let me watch the PMS process so alam kong wala silang ginawang kalokohan sa kotse.

anyway, nakapag-chikahan din ako sa mga tao dun, turns out that the 1.0 variant really had bad FC and a lot of people started complaining. it came to a point that people started suing. ultimately, kia decided to recall all bad units and have them replaced. this is what i was told by the people in the service station. buti na lang daw at 1.2 kinuha ko at masmatipid and walang issue yung 1.2 units. i'm not sure how "official" their statement were so i suggest that we do our own research as well.

anyway, i'll report back for any issues or improvements after the 1st PMS. overall, i'm still very happy with the picanto

that is true. same with Rio HB. if dumating yung 1.6 liter ng Rio HB. mas ok FC. Same goes sa picanto. mas ok yung 1.2 liter than the 1.0. 200cc means alot.

i think majority of the issue lies with the first batch of picantos? the common denominator in poor FC is the 1.0 AT variant i think. i haven't heard any complaints with the MT users.

anybody else have info? i think the best way to handle this is to talk to Kia..

From friends with the 1.0 MT, the economy is okay. And when we did the test drive, we were able to get 18.6 km/l in mixed driving. 60% highway.

4AT, aircon, small engine... don't ever expect good economy from that combo.

im about to trade my honda vti 96 1.6 vtec (plus 20k ako) to picanto 2k6 mt 1.0

my reason? FC

my estimate daily travel is 33kms.my 500php(9+ litres) umaabot ng 106kms 3days at most.city driving mostly ac on.off kung gabi..

mas makakatipid ba ako if i go for picanto?
insights naman po.deal or no deal? salamat...

makakatipid for a little. average is 15km/L. but mas ok naman sakin ang VTI 96 keysa picanto. 10 years younger nga lang. at first sa tingin ko mabibitin ka sa picnto lalo na sa arangkada. from 1.6 L to 1.1 L 2006 picanto. hahabulin mo yung hatak ng civic specially sa stop and go traffic. at lalabas parang magastos sa gas. ganun din kasi ako dati. hanggang masanay ka na mauhuhuli kana pag go na.

well it's your decision really. ok lang naman sakin 2006 picanto. mura lang naman maintenance. but honda is honda. and kia is only kia.

maraming salamat hive! medyo mahal nga lang. pinaorder ko sa kasa. waiting pa ako sa front mud guards para sa may side skirt. regarding sa emblems. meron daw sa seiring sa araneta or sa genuine car accessories sa fb kaso wala ung k emblem na gusto ko. baka online na lang ako bibili. any update about sa picanto mo? pinag iisipan ko din yung oem side tweeter online. happy holidays pala sa inyong lahat.
