ah, Getz pala ang pangalan niyan. dito sa Korea, it is called Click, dami kong nakikita dito sa Seoul niyan, at maganda talaga yan. Hindi po kamukha ng Matrix (Lavita in Seoul) yan, kasi mas magaganda ang mga kanto niyan, mas bilugan, as compared dun sa Matrix na medyo boxy. Sa akin lang po, mas type ko yang Getz kesa dun sa Picanto(Morning), kasi bukod sa mas maganda talaga, mas malaki pa ito,

Any idea on the price difference of Click (Getz) and Morning (Picanto) in Korea? Just curious kasi last I heard Kia and Hyundai are now a consortium and it would be interesting to know how they market each others cars. Some people say that in Korea, car manufacturers have a sort of agreement to help each other out. I know for a fact that Kia Picanto had Hyundai parts (I crawled on my back and examined the car's underside.)

I remember reading somewhere on the web that the Picanto's chassis is a shortened version of the one used in the Getz, and the 1.1L version of the Getz in Korea has the same engine as the Picanto.

Kia Pasay's tel# is 852-1552, fax# 852-1490. Look for Butch Rañada, the Sales Manager. He's a very reasonable, competent guy, and knows a lot about the product, unlike many other Kia dealerships.

i saw a lot of pictures of the picanto, havent seen a real one though. I can say that its a good looking car and it looks very modern. For car buyers who cant afford a P500K++ car, i think the picanto is a great alternative. Hopefully, the Kia people will not increase the price once it becomes very popular.

Finally saw one as I was turning right at Balara going to Commonwealth yesterday. Red body with black bumpers. Cute talaga up close.

Dear All,

I just want to kindly ask for your opinion with regard to my plan to buy a KIA PICANTO. Basically, I want to cut-down by gasoline expenses since my office is in EPZA Cavite ( Rosario ). I live in Mandaluyong area. My point of queries are as follows
a) Is this car ( or Kia brand) reliable?
b) How about the availability of spare parts.
c) Is the resale value reasonable? I may sell this also
after a year or two since I am not a fan of very small car.
Or is there anybody there who will discourage me to buy this car.

agh! Was talking to a dealer here in laguna about getting one... okay sana, 4 units lang ang wait-list niya... tapos biglang nag-order ng 40 additional units ang Pepsi... ayan tuloy... March din ang nearest available niya...

Picantos with color keyed bumpers and full wheel covers and foglamps are still available at Kia Quezon Ave. They have three units on display.

I recently saw the different colors of the Picanto.
This is the Samba Green unit.

Of course you have seen the light blue unit

This dealer sells the Picanto for P325,000

But you have to add P43,000 on top of the P325,000 tag price for the accessories that they have included.

Namely:

a) body colored bumpers
b) Factory installed bumper sensors eyelet
c) Fog lamps
d) window visors
e) wheel covers

You decide whether all of these add-ons are worth the additional price :-)

I find the round sensors more visually appealing.

I find the bumper sensors unnecessary in a car this small.
