Idedemanda ko kia dealer ko pag di nila sinunod yung sinabi nila sa akin na nakapila ako na number fourteen. we had an agreement and even if it was oral, it is still recognized as a valid contract and since there was breach of contract i can ask for damages. hihingiin kong damage eh 10 kia picanto hehehe. mapala nila mukha silang pera.

Hmmm...strange na sasabihin yan sa iyo ng taga Kia cuz medyo nakakaasar talga from a customer point of view.

Anyways, imho, one thing our local Kia dealers should do is upgrade their showrooms naman. I dropped by Kia along Edsa Boni before and medyo dilapidated and madumi yung showroom especially their CR.

Of course this isnt the only way to determine if a dealer is good but it surely wont help Kia move up in our market ren

    :P

Why? Because in the long run wala na rin silang budget to renovate their shop. Kung totoo yung feedback ng mga poster dito, their process of selling the car is not fair to those who waited in line. Babalik sa mga dealer yung malas kaya in the long run halos wala rin silang faithful customers. But what we customers expect is simple. Fairness. Yun lang naman di ba?

Regarding their eagerness for financing, talagang ganyan. Kahit dito sa Honda Pasig at Honda Shaw, nung nagtatanong pa lang ako sa City, the agents really push for financing.

Sana mabasa ito ng Kia dealers. As a Picanto owner na dati ninyong kinukulit na bumili nung kotse, maging fair naman kayo. First come, first served regardless of payment scheme.

    Hi CtrlAltDel,

So how's your Picanto so far? Has there been any further improvement in fuel consumption? Any problem areas?

    Thanks

    Hello Guys,

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you are encountering in acquiring the Picanto. I'm one of the lucky guys who got the first batch (70 units). I got it from signet Las Pinas at 50% DP sa PS bank. Back then we were able to dictate the terms and insurance cost. Now, highest bidder effects.

My wife's office mates are so interested in the car that she lets them test drive it in the parking lot. We gave them our agents number and sad to say that they receive the same story from the agents. They even ask me to intervene in their behalf. But I told my wife this thing is beyond my control. Its the decision of the distribution network of Kia.

So I would like to appeal to the bigwigs in Columbia, the Banks and the Dealers to stop this industry practice and exercise First-Come-First-Serve rules.

    tnx

    rodski

PS: The car is so nice to drive that my wife would sacrifice going to work early on her coding day so that she won't drive the Carnival. "Jamie" as we fondly call our Picanto sips 13.3 kms/li in severe city driving. It takes almost two weeks between full tanks. We are very happy with this buy.

Knowing Kia, it'll be ages before a new model will come out anyway...

guys be careful, from previous experience with columbia motors they tend to jack up the price of cars when they find out that there is a big demand for such cars. that happened to me back in 1997, when i wanted a subaru wrx, the first batch sold for around 1M but the first batch was sold out so i gave them a deposit of 100k and they quoted me the same price as the first batch but when the unit did arrive they suddenly jacked up the price to over 1.2M. WTF so i got mad and withdrew my deposit and didn't buy the car from them. I learned later on that they jacked up the price due to a increase in the demand for that particular car, somthing columbia motors didnt anticipate. so it would surprise me that when the second batch of picantos arrive that columbia would suddenly hick up its price.

    ET1,

So far, so good. No problem areas. My odometer is now at 4500km. Konti nalang, preventive maintenance na. My mileage is typically at 17km/liter (mostly highway driving.) About the same as when it was new. The conditions could have been different lately as I gained familiarity with the car (meaning, more confident to drive faster.)

Ride is still smooth and comfortable on well-paved roads but rather harsh on rough surfaces. Plastic door locks and some plastic objects under the dashboard (near the stereo) make noise when I hit a particularly hard bump.

Once again, I say that the P330th price is FAIR for this kind of car. I just hope you guys who reserve for this can still get your cars at the same price. My family is very happy with it. Matipid sa gas, napakadaling linisin at i-wax!

Guys, I think that with the attention the picanto is getting , other car companies will follow suit and introduce small cars with economical 1 liter engines. Its just a matter of time.

    Thanks CtrlAltDel for you feedback.

I hope other car manufacturers would take this cue that there is demand for 1 liter cars, as long as they would offer it at a very attractive price.

Sana Nissan would bring in their Micra.

There's a Picanto on display at Shangri-La Mall, 5th floor near the MRT exit! A good chance to check it out for those who are considering this cute little car.

    And it's the automatic version

    *Piter

I was also at Shangri-La this afternoon. Luckily, my family decided to eat at Kitaro so I was able to check the Picanto. If I remember it right, the model on display was a LE Deluxe w/ a price tag of 390,000 pesos. :D

Anung kasama? May airbags na!? I'd gladly shell out that much money if it had all the safety gear...

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
