This week I got the white manual version with no power features except power steering. So far ok naman. Mine has the JVC head unit. Ok naman yung stock na sounds pero di ko muna ginagamit kasi ang hirap timplahin ng clutch and gas with out hearing the sound of the engine. Maganda engine response sa tapak sa gas pero the very soft clutch really requires a lot of getting used to. Maybe there's a way to add a another spring to make it a bit firmer to the feet. Anyway ride comfort is as expected for the car it's size. Pag medyo pangit daan it seems matalbog ng konti at low speeds though. Could be the tires. At high speeds no complaints, very smooth. Di ko pa na try but it feels like you can attack curves and bends at pretty good speeds without the car loosing traction. Not sure if the tires will hold up but the suspension feels like it can handle it.
Sa casa sabi sakin people say their FC was around 13km/L. I'll have to prove that for myself. So far it seems 10km/L can be realistic but I have to check that sa next full tank. Puro city driving pa lang and mostly short runs. So it may not be a good estimation of FC.
Isa lang talaga ang masasabi ko. Ganda ng porma! Heads are really turning when I drive the car.![]()
Ride is comfortable even for long drives, hindi masyado nakakafatigue yung design/comfort level nung chairs. And also, yung road noise from the tires hindi masaydong audible compared to the new City (as per my experience). The aircon is okay but with these extra hot summer days I have had to set the blower to level 2 to actually cool the interior sufficiently, madalas kasi kahit level 1 lang mangangatog ka na sa lamig (note na hindi pa nakasagad yung thermostat niyan).
Stock sounds are nice, I was given the Clarion head unit. Sufficient na yung clarity ng sounds so last on the list ko na yun on things to change. Ang habol ko ngayon is yung stock spoiler and new rims. The stock spoiler looks like this:
Mas fun kasi yung itsura niya kaso pahirapan ang accessories for this car. If only they had a red variant with black/gray interior yun siguro kinuha ko..hirap kasi kapag beige interior.
thanks for the inputs
mukhang best buy cya sa ngayon with the 0% interest...
Congratulations sa new ride niyo! I have to agree na medyo matalbog nga (especially sa humps) and feeling ko din sa tires yun since bago pa.
FYI lang, Kumho yung brand ng tires that came with my unit.
Mga boss, ingat po tayo sa Wheels Inc. (Kia New Manila) the one in E. Rod near St. Luke's.
Dark ung Titanium Silver while yung Clear Silver is identical sa pagkasilver ng Vios. What's the point in paying reservation fees kung ibang color naman yung ibbigay sayo. Sana lang wag garapal magsinungaling. Laking abala eh.
Anyway, Sir grail80, san nyo po nabili mags nyo? Very nice!
I agree sa other Rio '10 owners, maganda yung stock na sound system. The stock seat cover/fabric is decent as well. Gas consumption is very reasonable for an AT tranny. I'm looking for a black rim/alloy spokes na mags and a set of simple body kit din.
Since its my second choice of color, kinuha ko na. Di kasi dumihin yung clear silver. Third choice ko yung Red. :D

Hoping to improve on it as I get used to the clutch and accelerator and as the car gets past 1000km... palaging naoover rev e hahahahaha
*grail80: Pareho pala tayong Clear Silver.
Disappointed lang ako that it doesn't come with black/gray interior..only beige. Sana pinasok nila dito yung Sapphire Blue..that was my first choice.
Wow! Mukhang maganda nga kung medyo lighter/brighter shade of red cya compared dun sa naunang Rio.I saw a red 2010 Rio dito sa Makati one evening about 1 1/2 months ago (tapos may license plate na din)..it was dark pero bright yung pagkared niya pansin ko..ang ganda tignan. Disappointed lang ako that it doesn't come with black/gray interior..only beige. Sana pinasok nila dito yung Sapphire Blue..that was my first choice.
I haven't had the time to adjust yung tire pressure ko from what the dealer installed. Not yet but I plan to kasi mas maganda tignan, 15K offer sa akin ng dealer for the foglamps inclusive of installation and labor na yun. I also plan on having chrome door handles imported from Singapore, I just need to verify yung validity ng online store first.
Question for other Rio owners: ano gamit nyong gas?
I let my friend drive my Rio on one of our gimiks, and he was really surprised. He says its even better than the Vios. :D
