Yes, that's one of the reasons I chose the Sporty this time, chock-full of features that other CUVs in this price range don't have.

The leather interior alone gives it a very premium feel, even the plastics on the dash are soft, almost every feature one could ask for inside the cabin. The suspension is firm as expected in a ride like this, but comparing it with my Gen. 3 Rav4, the parts on the Sporty are bigger, looking way more durable. Body roll is also significantly less than in my former ride.

Drove it for 2 hours straight yesterday in both traffic and on the NLEX and it felt effortless. None of that tiredness after a long turn at the wheel.
Haha! I’m not a guru! You will be cause you have the TOTL while I only have a mere mortal’s one
If you look at the Kia global websites, Kia uses a lot of high tensile strength steel (which the parent company makes) that explains the body rigidity. That HTSS is used across all Hyundai & Kia models. I ran across an Accent crushed between 2 trucks in Manila a couple of years back. The front & back were crushed, but the passenger shell was intact. The passengers escaped with only minor injuries.
How is the FE with the 8 speed?

I feel no difference between the 2 oils, I just think the FE changed a bit, not sure yet. They still have a shortage of parts for warranty claims sadly.

Hehehe, you know more about the Gen. 4 than anybody I know, so that qualifies you sir.

HTSS is quite reassuring and one of the countless reasons I chose this for my family's safety as well.

I haven't really taken note much on the FE because I'm still breaking her in, so I would expect it to be somewhat on the poor side for now. I will start really paying attention after the first 1K.

I am the only Gen 4 owner you know, haha!
What mode (in DM) do you use? Do you always use the Sportronic? I’m asking because I used to use ECO a lot but I notice that in order to get a decent acceleration with it on, I will have to put more fuel into it. So I’m thinking it might not really be efficient that way (& boring). Now, I use N when roads are free or in the SLEX & ECO only in bumper to bumper & city driving. I hardly use the Sportronic, only if I have to engine brake to a curve or in curvy roads.

Well, that's true as well sir Bloo, hahahaha!

I do see a lot of Koreans now in my neck of the woods driving Gen. 4s as well, mostly LX variants.

I use Eco during traffic, Normal when it gets lighter and Sport only during Expressway runs.

I haven't seen the 8th speed indicator show up in my cluster , only up to 7th as I haven't gone above 100KpH yet.

Kia LP allowed me to bring my own oil and other fluids even during my warranty period. Saved some money because of it.

I wish we could have that same freedom to choose sir Fleas, I was told by the SA that it was not allowed for warranty purposes.

    Maybe after the warranty.

CAC uses Zic X7 10w30 while ACI uses Total 9000 5w30, both Synthetic. CAC is also satisfied with 8 liters (just below full) while ACI will fill to full, going 8 1/3 liters (hence, you buy 9). Oil is cheaper with CAC at P590 while Zic is P700.

Edit: oil is cheaper with ACI’s Total fs at P590 compared to CAC’s Zic at P700

The SA in Carmona Southwoods was relating to me an incident about a Kia car claiming warranty, which was denied because the oil & fuel filters were aftermarket. CAC allowed this practice before, unfortunately for us, not anymore.

Exactly sir Bloo, I wouldn't wanna lose that 5-year, 160K Warranty. Despite what others have experienced with bad warranty claims.

I've also been asking many of my friends and colleagues who have bought from the Laus Group (The company that owns many of the dealerships here) and they have had generally good relationships with their service providers. It's one of the reasons I opted to get my unit here instead of Manila, Kalookan to be precise, who have stopped contacting me since last month. Go figure.

If that's the case, not bad na din pala PMS cost ng Sportage vs CRV diesel. Cost kasi ng engine oil (0W-16) for CRV is 800 but consumes around 4 liters lang.

Mukhang feasible na talaga mag-KIA ngayon based on the experience posted here sa thread.

    Thanks for answering my query!

Mobil 1 ba? Hindi na 1.6 engine yung Honda, 1.7 na yan. Napa compare ko tuloy sa autodeal.com yung tatlo, kasama Mazda CX5.

I'm not sure if Mobil1 yung ginagamit nila because Honda bottle yung pinapakita. Ang label is Honda Diesel Oil 2.0.

Photo grab ako sa CRV thread. Hehe

Sa brochure ng Honda, it says 1,597..

Are there a lot of speed cameras/radars in SCTEX? I am going home today & I don’t want to worry too much about my speed. 100kph is too slow.
