Exactly what I was hoping for. Thanks again Master B.
Rust-proofing? Last Thursday when they had it lifted up I looked at all of the parts underneath and saw that some sections of the car had rubberized rust-proofing already. It's the rough textured kind of grey-colored thick paint they applied. I actually touched all of the sections that had it to be sure.
It doesn't cover all of the underneath areas of the car, mostly near the wheel wells front and back.
I was told long ago that rust proofing the entire undercarriage on modern cars is a no-no because of all the sensors and electrical connections which may be blocked/ lose connection or damaged with an improper rust proofing application.
Incorrect information?
Thanks for that insight. I didn’t know that. Maybe I wouldn’t do that anymore.
Mine is a family car that rarely goes through any muddy or flooded areas. It hardly floods where I live. The fenders are also plastic so I think they thought of it. Thanks for that bit of info.

Always welcome sir B. Glad to share any info I have.
Was actually considering a ceramic coating for the paint, headlights, windshields and windows just to get an extra barrier of protection from the acid rain and rough debris that hits all cars.
Not yet sure if it's a good idea or not. I hated how yellow and stained my old Ravie's headlights and paint got after 15 years. Part of the reason I sold it.
I once considered that too & still thinking about itI once read in a Top Gear article by Ferman Lao that it would be good to use a quality wax for a brand new car. It’s not just an application but numerous over a few weeks to allow the paint to absorb as much wax as it can.
While we’re at it, a tip I got from one of those Sportage FB sites is to use Armour All on all the black plastic trim after washing. I use Sun Shield by Microtex instead.
If you can post other tips, that would be appreciated.

Looks like an X-6, LOL.
Doubtful if they will ever make that. Looks so impractical.
It’s an emerging segment along with the Merc GLC Coupe.

My guess is, this is for the American market. Hyundai sales in China slumped & they are trying to recover in America. It looks like a shape Americanos will like.

My car’s color is Burnt Copper so it hides the dirt well. I haven’t had it cleaned in 2 months. I don’t even dry it after a rain, a sure formula for scratching the paint. Fyi, I am kinda wierd. I love the rain. I love driving in the rain. I love seeing how the water beads.

I envy your car's ability to disguise the dirt sir B. White really does have its disadvantages, I don't mind too much though as it gives me an excuse to exercise whenever I need to clean my Sporty. Number plates arrived last week and people asked me if I paid extra for them because they seem requested. Pure luck on our part.
Driving in the rain is a joy for me too, it just feels smoother and more relaxed for some reason. And I know the extra water hitting the radiator helps to keep the engine cooler faster and longer.
Still haven't been able to order mud flaps, though. The Lazada seller you referred still doesn't have any in stock. Sucks.
I’ve had mine since 2018 & I havn’t gotten the plates yet

I was told by the SA that 2018 plates are delayed while 2019 plates are being printed out faster than usual.
The mind-boggling system that is the "L.T.O"
On topic, the intermittent mode of the rain sensing automatic wipers on my unit don't change speeds no matter which setting I put them on. But they are sensitive to even a bit of rain when they start. I will have that checked out next time.
