Two of the ones (both 2017-2018 versions) I usually see in my area are both doctors, I think, because they have those little brass thingies on their plates.
The car gets a lot of stares and second looks from car guys, for obvious reasons, something new, something different.
I do also hope they become common on our streets.
Something else I discovered last week, the panel which covers the fuel cap is fully made of plastic now and no longer steel. I guess that means it's cheaper to replace if needed and doesn't cause or act as conductor for static electricity.
Same plastic fuel lid on the previous Sportage and Tucson. Mine and my brother in-law's sort of warped over time... Lumaki yung pagka-curve nila. [emoji21]

Haha! I think I may have already sir Bloo. Had to go up Baguio last weekend for an unexpected business trip, was really holding back on the RPMs and not going over 120KpH but with 8 speeds at your disposal it's just so hard not to let her eat up those miles.
I just hope I haven't broken her in too much.
I've actually requested an oil change for this first PMS, for my own piece of mind.
Did you get the deep dish mats from GH?
Hinde ba mahirap linisin? I mean all the dirt is visible then you have no choice but to either wash it or wipe it clean everytime.
That's why I was having second thought of purchasing the deep dish mat for my CRV now Good thing I have driver now to do that but when I was younger I hated it so much, ang bigat pa

Hi, sparc179! I must say I'm just like your wife! [emoji4] I appreciate very much the leather interior of the Forester and the looks too. And I wanted it to replace my... well, Jazz. But my wife discouraged me from getting that since I'm stuck in traffic 90% of the time... so getting a gas-fed compact SUV with a bigger engine than the Jazz's, would set me back quite an amount FC-wise. So I got a diesel CR-V...not a Sportage though since we still have our 3rd-gen Sporty...my wife enjoys driving the old Sportage (that punchy acceleration makes her smile everytime she needs to overtake). I bet the new Sportage retained its responsiveness if not improved.
We went to Baguio last weekend using the CR-V and although I enjoyed driving it and learned interesting bits about it, I wish I brought the old Sportage for the trio since its a livelier car for the open roads.

Hello sir Yama! The leather interior was one of the selling points which persuaded my wife actually, so that was a major requirement, haha!
Personally, I enjoy the other features more, especially the 8-speed tranny.
The engine never lacks for power, especially since we all know how torquey they are even at low speeds and yet I don't hear as much engine noise as with other diesel cars I've driven. Inside the cabin, it sounds just like our old Ravie with the 2.4 Gas power plant.
Another thing with the Gen. 4 I got are the 19-inch wheels which just seem to hug the road quite well, even in tight curves, I noticed right away the significantly less body roll compared to our other car and especially with the Ravie we used to have.
Yes, quite happy with this purchase.![]()
Grabe sa linis bro sparc!
Subic? Go for it rain or shine. SCTEX shouldn’t be a problem with the rain. Kung NLEX or SLEX pa yan, mahirap na. Me, I like driving when it rains. Wag lang mabaha o traffic.

It's only been 1K usage sir Bloo. I expect it won't look as good after a year or so.
I have this thing about driving in the rain, went hydroplaning once, while me and my wife were headed home, good thing it was just the 2 of us in the car. Needless to say, I don't want to ever experience that again, ever. Especially if we have the kids with us.
