May mga rattle ba kayo paminsan minsan sa loob ng cabin? Minsan kasi nasa may door minsan naman nasa may dashboard lalo na pag uneven ung daan.. :-)
We bought the Code Alarm 3051 and had it installed sa Ride for Fun shop sa Alabang Motor town for 6k~, forgot the exact amount. Took half a day for me but I had to wait for the installer, late eh.
Found out that my annoying rattles actually caused by my crap at the boot and the other one inside is caused by the passenger seat belt vibrating and scrubbing against my leather seat covers.
Try mo tanggalin muna lahat ng gamit then go for those uneven roads and toblerone humps.
The Code Alarm 3051 was P5800 (discounted from P6K) installed by Ride for Fun in Alabang Motortown. Took about 2 hours. If you're interested, number id 809-0640, look for Mike the owner. Whiteysporty and I (and I think someone else) both had ours installed there. Heads-up lang: we both had to bring ours back for back-job after I noticed that the rear hatch wasn't unlocking or something; can't remember exact issue basta sa likod. The installer figured it out with my unit, then when whiteysporty came in with the unit, mas mabilis na naayos yung sa kanya. So just mention that to Mike to get an assurance na di na uli mangyayari yun. Of course, you should inspect everything before paying and leaving.
Another thing I have to mention pala is the shock sensor sensitvity, which can be tuned/adjusted in the alarm module underneath the dash. If you set it to normal setting to detect thumps or hits to the panels or windows, everytime you release the rear hatch using the remote, the vibration will set off the alarm. If you lower the sensitivity naman para this will not happen, kahit kinakabog mo na nang malakas ang windows, di pa din mag-aalarm. So I decided to just set the sensitivity sufficient to detect thumps and impacts, para protected pa din ako against these. After all, kaya ko binili ang Code Alarm is for my extra protection against theft through window breakage. Hindi ko na lang ginagamit yung exclusive middle button sa remote for the rear hatch. If I need to open it, I use the main top button, kasabay na din all the doors

Ikaw nga pala yung isang nagpa-install Fleas. Did you have any problem with the rear hatch after installation? Or na-perfect na ng installer yung technique by then?
^ so far so good for me. I just need to close the hatch door again before the alarm arms itself automatically.
What I should kept a closer eye on is the post-wiring. Hindi man lang inayos un pagkagawa. But I had it re-organized and fixed when I had my audio setup, so it looks more stock right now.
Why do some people change their emblems? Was that a rhetorical question Leo?? Couldn't quite tell with your accompanying grin
Anyway, if it wasn't and you really have to ask, it's sort of like the same reason some people choose to dye their hair a different color, or have it cut a different way. A car emblem has no actual mechanical/electronic function. It is something visual that identifies a vehicle's brand. So changing it does not negatively affect the vehicle's function. Having said that, most people change them (at least I did) for aesthetic purposes. I like the way the K emblem looks; I think it looks cooler than the stock one. It doesn't stray from the brand because it is an original KIA emblem variant in Korea, so it's not pretentious. Unlike some guys who put TURBO decals on their non-turbo vehicles. And since it's not very common or known, there is a novelty factor that sets my Sportage apart from the majority. It may intrigue some people and cause them to do a double-take. Eventually, the novelty will wear off as they become more common, but I'd still like the way it looks
I hope you're not gonna ask next why some people put chrome trimmings on their Sportages. Iba na ang sasagot sa iyo![]()
Just gave the Sportage it's 2013 New Years gift....a nice home detail. Washed, Clayed, 1 coat Klasse All in One, 2 passes of Klasse Sealant glaze....2 days inabot for curing. Prepping it up for some Collinite tomorrow. Lots of elbow grease but worth it since my daughter was pitching in to detail. Post ko pics pag natapos lahat.
I know this belongs sa detailing thread but since yung Kia naman yung na detail then might as well share na din. Im a firm believer that if you take good care of your car, it takes good care of you as well. And indeed....lots of work sir. Yung Klasse was a bitch to remove. Didnt want to use polishers so braso lang talaga. The the results were great even with just the initial pass ng Klasse....now i know what the detailers are raving about it. Can just imagine what more if i use the carnauba waxes pa to top it. Also, yung pag detail ko served as good bonding time with my 7 year old daughter since she likes tinkering with "boy" stuff hahaha.
No worries sir, that wasn't rhetorical and I'm not trying to make a point. Really just curious about those emblems
I didn't know that those K were still Kia originals. I'm pretty sure they're for aesthetic purposes, but at first I thought that you guys were just dumping the KIA logo for another logo. Sorry for the confusion though, and thanks for the added info. And yeah, I think they're cooler than the stock one.![]()
