That's about 5.3 Kms/L. A bit thirsty eh? I wonder what the actual mileage is, doing it the manual way. The Prado's computer gives me about .5 Km/L less fuel consumption than actual (i.e. computer comes to about 6.3 Kms/L, actual is 5.8). Hopefully it improves over time.

January 11th, 2008 11:59 AM #174Fuel consumption, according to the trip computer:
Driving on SLEX until c5, I was able to get 7.6L/100km, that works out to 13.2km / L.
Manila driving, I'm doing about 13.5L/100km, or about 7.4km/L.
Don't know if the age of the vehicle affects the fuel consumption, I've yet to hit the 1k km mark yet

Hi EQAddict, Your consumption is quite high... My carinval LWB is currently doing 16.5ltr/100km. which to me is pretty good (but hope it will get better after the 5k check and change oil)..
I have racked up 3,900km already.. that is 70% to 80% city driving (all inside makati) and the rest long hauls (Manila to Batangas, Laguna and tagaytay)... My tire pressure is at 32 for all four as per factory recomendation (inside driver door) and I use Petron diesel.
Hope that your milage improves...
Does anybody have an idea how much the Carnival roof rack costs?

When I saw Carnival first at pictures, colored gray, it looks very nice, very muscular.
Tapos when my cousin get one, then Red color, it doesn't look that good anymore, parang anliit ng unahan. Doesn't appeal to my taste anymore when in flesh, lacks excitement sa appearance.
Pero nung i-drive ko around the village, ok naman, ambilis din at parang pwede ko ding gawin dito yung race mode ko sa SLEX, pero I'm not sure if it's still fiery pag 100+ kph na sa highway kasi automatic eh.

January 14th, 2008 09:27 AM #178May alarm po. The busina honks on and off
I tested this when I was at the dealer, after the test drive.
About the roof rack, no idea what it costs, but one concern I have is that it raises the height of the Carnival. There are lots of underground carparks that tall vehicles cannot enter (Manila Pen, for example). This was one of the reasons why I decided against buying a Starex. Had a bad experience parking my dad's old Starex at Manila Pen; I had to park outside, na tow tuloy

hi fellow carnival owners,
sure ba kayo na may alarm yung carnival.. the remote can honk the horn. pero if you try to open the doors manually walang response ang kotse... If yes, how did you check the alarm.
