I think my FC is more than 7km/li. i lightly pedal the accelator during city driving medyo mabigat ang carnival 2000kg ang weight. High way driving is more than 10km/li.

thanks mqavilla..... so far so good...the carnival really serves us well. my wife is happy she can drive the van just like a car and perfect for my kids..more space to jump around ...and carry all my cargoes with a lot of room to spare. Value for money family car? carnival is the answer.

oo nga value for money ang carnival... i just hope it has a better resale value in the future. the 1st gen has a really low resale value.

quit worrying about the resale value of the car after all it came with a 3 year warranty...use it lets say for 5 years or more then dispose of it...by that time the mpv already paid for itself

we must accept the fact that vehicles aren't investments so if resale value would be a concern just get a pre owned vehicle or better yet buy yourself a lot after 5 years its value would appreciate hehehe

in the meantime just enjoy your kia
    im enjoying mine...

when the time comes to sell my carnival ill gladly replace it with a new carnival again wooohooooo

    cheers

Hello everybody! I'm a newbie here. Got my carnival lwb ex 2 weeks ago. I was originally getting an innova g because of budget constraints but my agent from kia pointed me towards a used carnival that was being sold by the owner of the kia dealership (and most of the other car dealerships) here in my area. The owner "barely used" it for about 3 months and the odometer reading was just almost 3200 km. They were selling it to me for 1.45 but i told them that the carnival was just really a dream car because it was really out of my budget. Eventually, i was able to haggle for it at 1.2 including other "perks".hehe

Do you guys thinks i got a fair deal? The car looks and feels, even smells, amazingly new. Most of the plastic wrapping are still intact infact. Like a dream come true for me and my family. so far we've been having a great time with our new car. My family, especially my three boys, really love it - what with its bells and whistles - the automatic feature of the doors is really a show stopper.

Anyway, this forum has been great! I'm learning a lot of new tips about the carnival (ex. i've already contacted angela of winterpine and placed an order for the avt ca 301). I'm am now looking for good accessories, especially a serviceable roof rack, as i'm also using the carnival for my business.

Regarding fc, i am currently doing about 14-16 km/l on highway driving, and from 7-10 city driving. I'm not sure if this is good enough? I've one question though, and i'd appreciate any help on this, my agent told me that the service schedule for the carnival is every 7500 km. is this correct? I've read somewhere in this thread (or was it the other sedona/carnival thread?) that i should stick to every 5000 km. but my agent is really insisting that it's every 7500 km as he said that the new diesel engines now are far more superior and advanced and doesn't really need as much servicing as the old ones. What do you guys think?

Hope a can share some more guys. That's it for now.

    cheers,

    9er
