haken depends, there in Manila they can go as low as 2.5k, we sell it higher here because kasama na installation and added costs pa. aside from hakken there is miccon, automann and others din.

may nabasa ko sa manual natin na ung ibang DMAX (since dmax is general export vehicle) is equipped with MECHANICAL SUPERLOCK. after ordinary locking the vehicle with the keyless entry, if you press again the keyless remote and hold it for I think 10 sec, this will activate the superlock. even there is passenger inside, there's no way he can free himself. even carnappers has no way of getting inside the vehicle (pwera na lang if binasag ung salamin and dun dumaan, hehe). may alam ba kaung ganitong klaseng lock na aftermarket? parang interested ako e.

2dmax, hmm kung gagana sa stock keyless entry, gagana ba sa aftermarket keyless entry with alarm na kinabit sa dmax?

That's called a deadbolt system. It's standard on most Opels and Volvos. Even if the thief breaks a window, he cannot open the doors. It's pretty cool.

ARB, thanks. When you say "lousy", do you mean na pangit sa driver with HID or pangit sa salubong? Is it because of the glare factor? Kung maayos ang focus (or an aftermarket projector type housing for dmax), do you think it will still be lousy?

it depends sa technician na gagawa. ung gumawa kasi sa kin un ung naginstall ng TT sa evolution ni emperor..

regarding sa superlock, pansinin nyo na lang yung latch(yung naka-kabit sa door jamb) nang mga ride nyo then compare nyo sa ibang sasakyan. you'll see the difference. may extrang bakal na naka-usli which i think dun yumayakap yung 'superlock' so, kung may aftermarket man nito, palit nang door latch at mga mechanicals.

to add, kahit basagin mo yung salamin, me mga sensor pa yun kaya mag-aalarm din yun- not to mention na naka-cut off yung electricals. meaning di mo rin mai-istart yung sasakyan...

IMO, mas malakas ang HID kasya sa stock headlamps.

Paul baguio - gamit ko stock headlamps lang. It is better if lalagay mo yun HID sa PROJECTOR headlamps pero I doubt if makakabili ka ng projector headlamps for our dmax. Pero okay na rin yun stock heaadlight. Im using 8000k temperature HID. Ang 8000k bangas tignan, pero mahina super sa ulan. As in mahina. Pero may 3000k yellow fog lamps naman ako kaya malakas pa rin sa ulan. Ang 6000k hid okay sa ulan pero for me hindi ganun ka porma. Ang pinakamaganda yun 4300k na HID. KAsi sa benz namin naka 4300k stock hid, ganda gamitin and hindi siya mahirap sa ulan.

BASTA ANG MASASABI KO LANG WAG KAYO KUKUHA NG HIGH(HID)-LOW(HID) na H4. Very important kasi ang flasher kaya ang kinuha ko HIGH(HALOGEN)-LOW(HID). And wag kayo magpapadala sa sales talk na maganda ang Germany made HID and bulok ang Taiwan made kaya mas mahal German made etc etc etc.. Pareho pareho lang yan and IM QUITE SURE ABOUT IT. Basta ang pinaka important kung bibili ng HID, MADALI KAUSAP ANG BIBILIHAN MO PARA KUNG MAY SIRA, MAPALIT KAAGAD.

Hi! I'm a new owner of DMAX LX. Bought it last week. This is for business that's why LX lang however if I had read this thread I would have bought LS.

My question is, I'm planning to add alarm to my ride however Php7,000 daw sa kasa. Is this the right price? sabi ng agente add chip lang daw ok na, i can use the remote I'm using right now. Is this true? wala pa labor included on that price.

Second question, If the alarm from kasa is Php7000 (I thought it was only around 5k), I'm planning to install aftermarket alarm instead, probably Autopage. If I have that alarm installed, will it void my warranty?

Another thing, I'm planning to add fog lights. Will it also void my warranty if I have one installed?

By the way, does anybody has an idea how much foglights for DMAX on the market today? which brand is the best?

actually mas marami makalingon sa dmax... marami lang titingin sa strada kc bago sa paningin... yun din sabi ng isang agent na taga mitsu na kilala ko... heheh... but hindi yun pwede sa matangakad na tao.. sumabit ang tuhod ko sa dash when i tried it out and in case your wondering y, 5'10 height ko, hehehe... and my shoes also made sabit sa dash when i release the pedals... hehehe.... and fuel consumption is just the same , they have a 2.5 engine- 10-15kms/l, damx is 3.0- 10-15kms/l... hehehe... nagtaka nga ibang customer but ganun... dapat daw mas matipid ang strada... and one testimony of a customer sa display is that once nakasunod daw siya ng 2007 strada.. mausok daw parin like the older models... and one customer said that having both pick ups, he is into construction business, mas maganda daw suspension ng dmax kesa strada and mas maganda gamitin ang dmax niya sa long drives compare sa strada or better yet mas maganda daw ang ride ng older strada compare sa bago.... and most customers daw buy the 4x4 variant para macho and matangkad tingnan but wala naman gamit ang 4x4 capability niya... so, much better daw ang dmax kc kahit 4x2 ka lang.. 4x4 na ang dating mo with a big engine 2 match... some customers sa show or display would ask kung 4x4 ba yun dmax displayed namin but once they know its just a 4x2 mas magustohan nila ang dmax kc 4x4 looks na siya and with ABS, AIRBAG narin...

comparison lang po eto based on actual unit comparison namin and some customer experience having both testdriven and bought the 2 models.... NO OFFENSE sa strada customers or owners...

s alarm niyo po, it would depend sa brand and model they are selling you... and it will not void your warranty naman kahit you will install foglamps pa... and i think wala pa aftermarket foglamps ang dmax kc usually meron foglamps ang dmax that ha been released here sa pinas... but meron din naman iabng foglamps but not fit sa dmax... hella is also a good brand...

Jarhead, wala na bang foglamps ang latest na LX variants? Ang alam kung sa 2005 na LX meron, pinagkaiba lang is the no airbag for front passenger then different Mags type. Or meron bang ibang LX variant na binibenta ngayon na wala na talagang foglamps? Parang Hilux variants ng Toyota...?

Or it is possible na gustong dagdagan ni Nick001 ng fog lights sa front (parang maka gamit ng projector types for HIDs.. pang additional silaw effect.. hehehee). I think you need to purchase an aftermarket bumper that can hold front fogs. (Parang Pajero bumpers...) Meron bang available sa market yun? But then again I could be wrong...
