Hahaha! Sinabi mo pa, used to do that with other cars too. Nakakatawa kasi his objective pala was to smoke the tires .

dati meron si AutoXer (aka Ferman) ng dmax chip upgrade....I just forgot yung website nya...galing yata sa south africa yung computer chip na yun...I just can't recall pero parang 70hp ang dagdag sa power!

but it was quite expensive din...

nakakatakot naman nyan.... hindi pa tlaga tested... we really dont know what is the effect nyan sa ride natin... yup lalakas nga but we dont know what it does to the other chips inside the ECU... kung palakasan man ng engine power. palitan ko nalng ng V8... hehehehehe......

hehe sigurado up up and away din ang fuel consumption. I think yung kay autoxer ay tested naman.

i think it's better not to use any of that performance chips. japanese engineers designed and pre-programmed our DMAX ECU to perform at its best without compromising reliabilty and fuctionality. as they say, power significantly increased upon plugging the chip, but reliability may be compromised. I think it's not worth it. the term pick-up is associated with the word reliability, not speed..

tama c 2dmax.... unless your gona change your ECU for racing na tlaga... and also change your engine specs para magfit sa ECU racing na kinabit.... those chips sold may compromise the overall performace of the engine and the ECU in the long run because if the design put into it by the japs engineer...

Amen to that mga Bro! Ako nga very content na sa current performance ng engine and it is best not to make it your most expensive science kit. Minsan nga nagkakatalo pa sa tire size and rim choice because it can adversely affect fuel consumption, suspension and ride eh ECU chip pa.

Tama si Jarhead, you want power? Mag V8 ka na nalang tiyak na lilipad ka .
Or better yet, yung pambili mo ng chip (65T!) save it for one of those muscle cars sa bulacan.

and yo dont need alot of power or HP ang engine specially kung pick up because hindi yan built for speed. yup its has a 100+ power but it wouldnt be of use if puro engine power lang ang malaki sa pickup... meron pa hauling load to consider.. kaya the final gear ratio is important also.. the closer it is to zero the lower is the hauling load capacity and thats for cars lang... for pick up and SUV,AUV the final gear ratio should be higher para kaya niya maghaul ng load and the engine wont suffer that much...

Hahahaha, react kaagad kayo mga bro, so that clears up my puzzled mind, means not to install this gadget on our unit.....dahil nga the word "max" means everything under the hood is in the maximum settings, right?
