October 4th, 2006 09:09 PM #682hindi ba mas mausok ang dmax niyo when you put on after market airfilters?

Thanks.
Memphis,
The turbo in my AT dmax kicks in (or at least is obvious) at around 1,800rpm. Not sure sa MT's. Close ang gear ratios ng dmax kaya maganda sa arangkada pero come highway, medyo bitin na at high speed. Thats the price we have to pay. Hehe.

x jason x, quiksie - Hi guys! jason talagang dapat ma excite ka, K&Ns are performance filters kaya moneys worth yan; washable pa with lifetime warranty. I'll look for the box tomorrow for the model #, better yet, ill take a shot of it so that you can see the mounts. I only used the stock tube muna (ala pa budget for the chrome ones). No extra braces necessary. quiksie, thats a good observation but fortunately wala pa sa aking unit.
Ang na observe ko lang sa mga ganyang umuusok are the units that changed performance filters only after 10 or 15k na so that means nag build up na ang dumi so when the high air-flow filters were fitted in, malakas na ang hangin so POOOF! Besides, large plums of black smoke usually means your injectors need cleaning.

I love GSRs
but never got the chance to own one. Ok, so if you want a "silent performer" you can get a drop-in type filter meaning pasok pa rin sa stock air filter box mo. No noise yet high air flow. May I also suggest not to limit your choice to K&N only; try also Injen & Airaid so that it can fit in your engine.

helo guys... dmi nyo na napost ah... hehehe..
memphis, magpost ka naman n g picsa air filter mo...
and i seriously doubt uusok ang dmax when you put performance air filter on it... unless mali pagka kabit nun...
ok naman turbo ng dmax ah... bumyahe ako kanina morning.. got 130 but haf press pa ang pedal ng gas... meron parin ibubuga... hind naman drag ang dmax sa starting... i can feel the hatak naman sa dmax namin.... but mejo bitin nga coz the dmax wasnt made for speed but for hauling.. kaya it has a high final gear ratio... i would bet anytime fully loaded ang dmax with cargo and magtow pa sa likod and kayang kaya nya hilain or tumakbo....

memphis marami tayo yatang ganun e. di ko sure kung sino pa yung may Civic at may Dmax at the same time.
anyways, ang turbo sa MT sumisipa at around 1500-1800 pero minimal pa lang yung- at least theoretically. kasi may nabasa ako somewhere na ang turbo talagang magagamit after 2500 rpms. at that point the turbo is spinning at 100-200K rpms.
Yung extra AUX Fan is useful sa mga naka montero. Mag improve daw yung AC system since may extra...
