now cooling problem ito for sure, and for sure ang culprit is dirty radiator due to tap water ang gamit ko minsan or faulty thermostat,i have 04 dmax btw?

plan ko palinis sana yung rad and palitan ng oem thermostat.

now my question is meron ba kayong alam na naglilinis ng plastic top radiators and mabibilan ng oem thermostat aside casa..(mas ok if dito sa south area: alabang/laguna pero if manila area talaga ok lang rin sakin)

tried asking denso mismo but consequently, they dont clean up dmax rads daw.

I hope someone could shed some light, natatakot ako gamitin yung dmax kasi baka lumalala pa yung prob.

    thanks

havent tried overhauling the dmax radiator kc most radiator shop wouldnt accept it dahil the seal is different daw. so i think its disposable talaga... try using a radiator flush den have ur system drained of water then replace it with at least 3 liters of coolant.. para naman mawala rin yun mga sediments na hindi makuha ng radiator flush...

Fellow 'Maxers' one of our owners is in need of good info about Bendix brand replacement brake pads.

He was able to purchase a set about 5 months ago but unfortunately grabe ang squeaking sound even during light braking. He had the pads examined and parang may mga tiny hair-like 'growth' on the pad surface.

Normal ba ito or is this a sign that it is fake Bendix? Is there a way for us to differentiate between the orig and imitation?

Sa mga naka purchase ng Bendix brand, do you also experience loud squeaking during braking?

Na re-surface na ang rotors nya before, same problem pa rin.

    Thanks in advance

    The Global D-Max uses CHAIN.

Yes, the Rack and Pinion ORIGINATED with passenger cars BUT does not necessarily mean it can't evolve on trucks (pick-ups), SUVs and the like. Particularly the D-Max, it is R&P but bigger, heavy duty but performs like how it's known on PCs --- VERY RESPONSIVE! (vs. Ball and Nut)

Depends on where you are comparing it. I find it "ok" coming from dring a Trooper. Then again, if you feel uncomfortable with it, have it adjusted to your liking.

I used Bendix (the one with yellowish streaks on the friction material) on my old Frontier and it does squeal. I think the material they use is too hard for stock rotors. They last a long time but at the expense of the rotors. Around 3/4mm.The squealing probably comes from the metal-like material when it hits the rotors. Had my rotors re-faced and bought original pads from the casa instead.
