never had problems with bendix for me. they're the softest of all the brake brands out there. you might have gotten a fake one. For the first 200 km it is normal for some smoke or light rubbing since the pads are still settling.

Thanks for the feedback guys. OEM pads are expensive that's why it's better if we could somehow identify the fake from the original Bendix.

Alam ko ang original bendix does not emit any squeaks. Interestingly, a friend also advised to put a layer of Silicon Compound at the back of the pad before mounting to absorb the vibration the pads make especially during light, bumper-to-bumper traffic braking.

    The quest continuous

FYI lang.... Bendix brand is also being used by Mercedes Benz. Actually, I use them on my W123 240D.

Sir Benz, do you know of a reputable shop that sells genuine Bendix?

Have you had any squeaking problems at any point?

I had them replaced in a friend's MB shop. But I'll ask him just the same if he can source genuine Bendiz for D-Max.

    No squeak issues whatsoever.

Replaced my worn out OEM brake pads last 2006 with Bendix and they squeal during light braking. When the Bendix pads wore out last year, I went back to OEM pads, no more squealing.

so far, as i have experienced, wala pa replacement na pwede okabit sa dmax na hindi makasira sa rotor... iba kc pagkagawa ng rotor ng dmax.. most replacement has been made na hard para tumagal naman daw like the orig one.. hehehe... but at the expense of the rotor nga naman... i have replaced numbers of rotors ng dmax dahil lng nilagyan ng replacement... but havent tried bendix yet kung ano epekto nito.. and yeah maganda na brand ang bendix.. its been used sa benz nga as benzmizer said...

advice ko lang is be careful on replacing the brakes on our dmax kc mahal ng rotor.. kung pwede pa ipa reface then its ok.. usually kung lalampas na sa 50% ang matira after refacing.. pinpalitan na namin kc meron chance that the brakes won't work at its best specially when the pads starts to worn out... and hirap na kung mangyari man.. we depend on our brakes on our vehicles...

    Welcome Redux!

Full out??? Or is it Pull out? Anyway, should they (dealer) require you to leave your car to be inspected (or sent to the plan), they are suppose to accomplish a checklist of the whole vehicle that you would need to sign after. Just make sure that you agree with what they note in the said checklist vis-a-vis actual state of your unit so that you can verify when they return it.

If they said so that if found defective (windshield) and they would replace it, then so be it. They will not decide naman to replace it if it would not pose as a hazard to your safety.

Is 190kph still not enough for a pick-up?

The D-Max in Thailand uses a hood with scoop since the intercooler is located on top of the engine. Yes, HP for that model is higher but then again the question..... is 190kph not enough? I bet one would worry more on where to use up all those HP in the metro..... the D-Max may not "statistically" the highest HP (thou I personally have tested it to run 190kph + more but my stomach can't take any more) but equally has the best FUEL EFFICIENCY vs. the other pick-ups available in the market today.

    Now that's VALUE FOR MONEY.

ang x series ng dmax sa thailand is not really "new" ... the model is just the same sa atin dito if you could notice the grille but the only difference is that the thailand x series has been upgraded with accesories and paint design... at wala naman ilabas na new engine kc nilabas na nag isuzu, the 4jj1... thats the engine used na rin dito sa atin... and yes mababa lang ang hp but hindi naman mabibitin ang power niya... kahit the older dmax na hinid pa crdi coudl reach 180km/hr..... and tow a 1 ton trialer with ease... whats the use of having big hp and you cant haul heavy loads with ease...

Re: Bendix Brake pads maybe I did get the fake ones. Got them from a store in Banawe that's known for importing genuine Isuzu parts from Thailand. Well, you never know with these guys what you're really getting. The KYB shocks I got from there got busted after 20Tkm lang.

Hi Dmax owners, people always compare on performance yes other brands are superior, but on actual use di naman nalalayo, remember pickup to hindi performance race car.... masarap may natitira ka pang pera sa bulsa pambili mo meryenda hehehe...Few weeks ago tested ko Cabanatuan City-Baguio round trip via Marcos Hiway..nakawarning yung fuel indicator ng 2010 Dmax ko, nagkarga ko sa Cabanatuan City ng 1000 pesos of Shell Diesel..ikot ikot ako sa Mines at Camp John Hay...nakauwi without refueling nag warning na nung nasa malapit na ko sa amin sa Cabanatuan, tuwang tuwa ako nakabili pa ko pasalubong hehehe...di ko lang pa pinag aaralan yung sa display may nakalagay minsan 12.1kms/liter average consumption, dati 10.1 i just finished 1,500kms and have done the first oil change and checkup...pansin ko lang sa mga lahat ng pickup models manipis mga tail gate mukhang prone sa dents...kahit mga bagong bili lang meron na di lang pansinin...
