Dapat nga last week because ARB had a Dmax displayed in one of the malls doon last week, I think complete with sounds set-up, suspension, basta pang show talaga daw showcasing the best their car shop is currently offering. Too bad nobody made it here sa Negros because kung meron kahit isa eh sure talaga ako punta Bacolod kahit ako lang mag-isa mag drive papunta ron
.
Ako rin, Dmax, if I were to buy a unit right now. It's not because that biased ako that I have one but you just can't deny the reliability of an Isuzu powerplant. My Dmax will start first time, all the time and for me that's what counts. When I got mine a few months ago, I never raved about the crdi release from my dealer. All I knew then was that the current 4JH1-TC engine is just as reliable as ever.
New tech is not always a guarantee, for me, it must be first observed. Malay mo, by the time that technology has been perfected, baka mas mura na rin.

Yup, its a very risky and scary thing to do when you take out the entire center dash
. When the local dealer here did that last month to check why my head u wouldn't switch on (loose contact lang daw), even the aircon vents came off. It was so unnerving to hear the plastics crackle
.
I did see, though, the very large and thick cross-pipe(?) that holds the dash underneath; sign of a very rigid body frame!

Just enlarged the pictures.
Hey ARB, I see that your TFS has a 5 leaf set-up similar to the newer D-Maxs:
I still have the 7 leaf spring pack and here's my present set-up:
Is it OK to remove the 2 bottom springs to simulate the 5 spring set-up? Will it further improve the ride?
When I had the last 3 springs inverted, I had the handbrake cable support unwelded from the #5 spring then after inverting the spring, had it welded again instead of just sawing it off:

the original of the TFS leaf springs has 6 leafs. This is one of my experimental set-ups. its a 4+1, 4 leafs that are together and the last 1 in case there is load. The best set-up that I have made is the 3+2 did not get picture, best ride compromise carrying capacity, still carried up to 400 liters of fuel and 2 truck tires.
your present set-up even if you remove the last 3 the ride will be the same since it doesnt touch anymore now, it just like its not there. Also when removing it the center bolt will be too long and you will have to buy or cut off the existing one. I suggest you try to remove the 3rd from the top leaf to make the ride softer, but you will lose some carrying capacity, but who carries everyday right? some do but my reason is if I break one of the leafs because I modified it and carried loads with it its ok with me. I can replace the broken leaf, but if I or we suffer back pains because of the ride can we replace our backs with new ones?
