kinuha ko nung Dec 2005 yung DMAX ko mga 15Tkm pa ang takbo nito.sa plaridel ko sinasakay papuntang tagbilaran 4,500+ ang bayad car registration lang ang kailangan.the port is part of the nautical highway.i heard that meron na rin daw sa jagna to cagayan de oro pero hindi ko alam yung rate at ibang details

x_jason_x - hehe, kung pwede lang nga eh, I'd really like to share the experience. I still owe you a shot of my blinker mounts.

jubilum - ang bilis naman maubos, may 2 units pa ata nung last time ako dun ah! I heard that they are very popular now because of the built-in amps. Ok talaga ang tunog but then I also discovered a better one over at ARBs shop last weekend . A woofer box that's custom made for the rear seat natin with a solid Kicker 8 incher that promises to deliver a louder/tighter Bass experience! Very nice talaga!
Anyway my PMS is being handled by a local/official Isuzu Dealer, yung Robert's Tire Center sa Sibulan. They are very much capable, proper equipment and all.

Memphis, Isuzu Mandaue advised me against having my unit serviced at Robert's kasi daw their mechanics are not officialy trained (by Isuzu). Dapat daw duon sa katabi na official dealer nila, which also means that Robert's is no longer their official outlet or dealer. So from then on duon na ako nagpapa service sa katabi nila. Its just that the 20k PMS is such an important PMS thats why i'm opting to have it serviced at bigger and more equipped casas.

Its also official that we will be going to Cebu instead of Bacolod kasi mas gusto ni Misis So hinde ko na mabibisita kina ARBs. Sayang curious pa naman ako duon sa custom made box that you mentioned

Would anyone know kung gas type ang front shocks ng Dmax? I changed my rear shocks to fluid KYB and im so satisfied with it. Nawala ang tagtag. However, the front (stock shocks) gives me an uber soft ride such that the vehicle wallows. Im thinking of changing the fronts to OME.

Any first hand experience?

front and rear shocks of hte d-max are gas type. yes you will feel na mas softer ang fluid, but it will not dampen the rear properly on bad roads. fluid shocks once heated up almost looses its damping abilities.

Mas gusto ko yung feel ng fluid type sa rear. Mas gusto ko nga pag walang shocks. hehe. Problem is the wallowing left and right in holes and humps. Parang caused by the front end.

pag wallowing ang feel, you cannot control the vehicle that good its going to be scary travelling at high speeds in not so flat roads, the feel is that the vehicle wants to transfer lanes on every bump which is not good. the wallowing you feel maybe its the fronts trying to stop the rear from wallow feel its like the rears trying to make the front wallowy also.

hirap i explain. to make the long explanation short. hindi maganda ang ang handling ng sasakyan kapag ang shocks hindi nag dadampen properly.

jubilum - Ok. I guess I'm going to Isuzu Cebu na rin if I reach 20k na, I just made 7k on my mileage eh. Basta maganda nga ang boom box for subs kina ARB hehe.

wildthing - OME ka na! I'm sure that Ranchos are good for some cars and vice-versa sa OME, but I tell you ang OMEs talagang hiyang sa Dmax . Wala na yang mga "wallowing" issues na yan hehe.

nagpa-wheel bearing repack na nga pala ako sa yokohama servitek. 2 front wheels, 360 php plus 82 php grasa. and hindi lahat ng grasa nagamit, siguro 1/4 ung natira.

sa totoo lang wala kong tiwala sa mga casa (no offense, just my opinion). para sa kin, DIY and if hindi kaya, sa trusted mechanic ako magpapagawa.

WARNING nga pala sa inyo. marami na raw pekeng castrol GTX 15W-40 ang kumakalat. just to be sure, hindi ko tuloy nagamit ung castrol ko for my 35,000 km change oil. napabili pa tuloy ako sa shell ng RIMULA X..

Good point . It ain't that complicated, simple understanding lang of how each component works. You can save a ton of cash na you can use for other things.

meron na ba nagtry sainyo ng motul? Malapit na rin ako mag 35k kms. Baka icasa ko nalang ulit para hindi mavoid warranty.

hindi kaya steering damper ito, kasi i asked sa campershells about their rear shocks na rancho, its 6200 each, kasama na kabit. actually mas mura nga yung kay arb na ome 5850 each, kasama na kabit. or baka may ibang modelo ang rancho.

based sa mga kakilala ko, they say mas ok yung ome. although meron mga tao swears by rancho. pero if i got the money na, two rear omes agad ako.

arb: yan ba yung bagong dmax sa thailand, o binago lang na makina, pero iba din yata yung rear lights nung pinakita mo na pic. what's iteq?
