    Hi guys,
i am new to this forum, i also drive a 2012 Crosswind XL(acquired last March 2012). So far the problem I have with this is the engine. The first 5Tkm, 10Tkm did not have problems. But when it got to 15Tkm period the engine just quit on me about 2 times. I brought it to the mechanic (ISUZU Ayala Cebu) they told me they replaced the fuel filter (but also suspects moisture inside the fuel tank) and problem fixed. Now at 18,900km, the symptoms are back again..the engine quits just as I was fully stepping on the clutch pedal. It happened 3 times during my travel time just this morning, any hints what could be the problem? I am suspecting the water separator but I don't see any indication(no water), another could be the fuel tank moisture inside, or the fuel itself. BTW, i am using PETRON. what do you guys recommend for our fuel? for now, i just adjusted the engine idle and observe it.
    thanks,

try to bleed the fuel system first. if may water talaga yung diesel, change station na. baka contaminated yung diesel with water/algae.

go for basic course things first:
    1. clean water separator, maybe infected by rust or water
    2. change fuel filter, maybe clogged thus resulting dirty/contaminated fuel might enter injection pump.
    3. if injection pump is still good, go for cleaning of 4 nozzle tips, uneven spray of nozzles cause poor combustion.
    4. change air/element filter.
    5. it is your option to drain fuel tank if ever in order to see if it is affected by rust or severe water being emulsified.

Nagpalit lang me ng fuel filter at drain fuel tank then never use petron diesel and I use shell diesel now. My ODO now is 30K at dina umulit ang problema.

    Hi guys,

Since last night my brake lights won't turn off. I had to remove the fuse just so the battery won't drain. Any ideas?

Check your brake switch, the one which is pushed when the pedal is applied. The switch is usually positioned a few inches above the brake pedal. This might have been stuck on.

I honestly believe the problem is not the fuel brand per se but rather the fuel station. Baka bahain or "shubby" yung station. I have been using Petron for a long time now and I never had any issues with it. My 2 cents.

+1. Either that or an odd case of a bad ground.

Thanks bro. Mukang wala na ngang ibang culprit kundi iyung brake light switch. So we pulled it out first then tested it on the electricians' "umiilaw-ilaw" device. So far so good.

tama ka sir, sabi ng taga-ISUZU dito sa amin: napakarumi daw ng tank ko, they drained the fuel and cleaned up the tank, they also replaced the fuel filter.

Based din sa experience, I would suspect it's the fuel filter. Let's always include the fuel filter in the list when doing regular maintenance, para sure.

common nga eto. from my experience, it helps to regularly check/replace AIR, FUEL (separator drain kasama na), OIL filters. improves the power, too. had my fuel tank drained na din para lang may peace of mind na malinis tangke.

and one more common advice na na-receive ko: avoid running car on low fuel. kasi daw higop lahat ng sediments.

regarding alignment issues: find a mechanic at sana may electronic database for reference in future jobs. Servitek is doing a good job for me on this.

after more than two years, Dead na din orig Excel NS50 batt ng crosswind. Performance meets expectations. Pero based dun sa advice ng Motolite technician medyo worried ako sa readings na to:

me problem daw alternator (not supplying FULL electricity) kaya low read ~12v kapag A/C and lights are ON. NO ACC reads at ~14v

May sense ba ito assessment niya? if so, ano kelangan gawin sa alternator?

And btw, I should have preferred N50/2smf batt for replacement kaya lang walang stocks. Konting diference lang sa length vs orig; much more RC (118 vs 143) at P100+ price difference.
