Ang value proposition ng Xwind ay durability at fuel economy. These value propositions are solid and proven for a decade now. Kahit gaano ka-outdated and itsura ng Xwind, may ready market pa rin siya. Bibilin ko ang Xwind kung ang hanap ko ay sasakyang maasahan at pang-matagalan. At dahil tatak "Isuzu Diesel" ito, it can command a price premium over a Mitsu Adventure dahil mas malakas ang brand equity ng Isuzu sa diesel. So really, the marketing guys at Isuzu Phils. Corp. DO KNOW what they're doing.

. . Kasi after nilang mabili sa December sa pag-uwi nila, iiwan nila sa Misis or anak, they dont want want to be bothered with more expenses on maintenance. . . sa Isuzu Tacloban, don ako nag-paservice (bakasyon ngayong Xmas season) walang silang stock ng Crosswind, at dami pa raw nakapila, halos lahat, OFWs ang bumili. . .

Not just OFWs, but halos ng mga bumibili ng Crosswind ay mga may pamilya... Not just the Crosswind, but competitors such as the Adventure, Innova, Urvan are also relegated to these duties. And have an OFW fanbase.

And why do you guys keep on asking for an engine, safety or interior "update"? What the Crosswind needs is an all new model.

They could keep the low end variants for those who need ultimate reliability and fuel efficiency like the Adventure-Fuzion but hopefully they can come up with a well packaged new model.
My Dad tested his kumpare's Isuzu Crosswind XTO AT, and he told his kumpare "Ang bagal naman ito". Well, I read in reviews that Matics are slow, very slow.... In comparison, the Adventure Diesel that I rode recently is more quiet, more stable, and importantly, more cheaper. Unlike the Crosswind, ang ingay!!! You can hear it palang inside my room... and the body shakes, naginginig.

IF Mitsu Adventure also had a diesel AT, I'm sure acceleration would not be that different to that of the Crosswind's AT variants. Comparing to Adventure's GAS AT variants is comparing Apples to Oranges.

Concerning Adcentures "more quiet" engine.... this is because they use timing BELT vs. Crosswind's timing GEAR.... thus a "noisier" Crosswind engine BUT DURABLE.

naki test drive na nga lang reklamo pa! hahaha! wag na siya mag test drive ever kamo. haha!

anyway, crosswinds have been around for quite a long time now. and yes, i guess everyone knows na maingay ang crosswind, ngaun mo lang nalaman? san ba kwarto mo? baka tabing kalsada or garahe? rinig talaga yun kahit gasolina makina! this topic is not for complaining and degrading a tough AUV. yes bro, TOUGH. tougher than your favorite adventure. peace!

for me, no doubt on isuzu's reputation as dependable, reliable, fuel efficient, durable, TOUGH as others would say and enjoying brisk sales despite having old engine model (brand new naman yun pagbili di ba) and never ending continuous add-on on accessories but sacrificing safety features somehow...

but once their market share dwindle and slowly eaten by competitors lets see how TOUGH they are - expect a sudden turn-around...are they wiling to loose a profitable investment just because of slow upgrades on major components such as engine, transmission & safety features which most buyers consider nowadays.
