But as a guide, I suggest multi-spoked or dish-type (with lip) for street look.
What do you mean about mechanical/electrical issues? Do I need to purchase something for the alterra to make it better?

Dish-type (with lip)........ eto ba yung parang may canal? What would look good sa white, shinny or matt mags?

What do you mean about mechanical/electrical issues? Do I need to purchase something for the alterra to make it better? Nothing. If the Alterra has been (and still is) CASA maintained, you're almost guaranteed that it's in good mechanical/electrical state. May maintenance log ka kasi e. So no guessing there.

Dish-type (with lip)........ eto ba yung parang may canal? What would look good sa white, shinny or matt mags? No question, shiny (either silver or chrome finish) would look better.

Here is an example of a nice dish-type rim that I foresee to look good on an Alterra:

But this (I know) cost an arm and a leg

Multi-spoked would my likely bet.... got more options too:

    Guys,

    Ask lang about wheels measurement....

I'm planning and nangangarap again to change when i get the unit. I was reading the fitment guide sa Concept One site and it's says about diameter, offset, and backspacing measurement. Nag absent ako when math was being taught sa school...hehehe!

Help naman what is the right measurements to follow for 18-20 rim.....thanks!

    INTERIOR SPACE:
I'd say all three are considered competitive on this category but I'd say the Alterra (due to it's length) has a slight edge.

    RIDING COMFORT:
Hmmm, Interior space is considered an integral consideration for "comfort" -- Alterra ako. But if you mean "comfort" as in "riding comfort", I'd say Montero and Fortuner has a slight edge.

    MAINTENANCE:
Since all 3 are CRDI, halos pare-pareho lang maintenance demands ng mga yan.

    QUALITY:
Being Japanese-made, all 3 are good at this. Pero I'd say the Fortuner (being a Toyota) has a slight advantage.

    ADD-ON (aka Amenities):
Hands down, Alterra --- DVD with bluetooth, dual headrest-mount 7" wide screen monitors, crossrail, back up sensor and CAMERA to name a few.

    Hope this helps.

Partner, TRUE! I have noticed that it's only the Alterra that is Euro3 (amongst the 3)..... I just hope the fuel companies here would step up with the demands of the new generation engines.... taas pa rin kasi ng sulfur content ng mga fuels natin e.

Yung principle kasi ngayon is: The higher the Euro compliance -- the lower sulfur content it can take in.....

Benzmizer.... does that mean mas madaling masira ang injector or fuel line ng engine because our diesel here is not top grade? I think I don't want to go thru again what happened to my trooper. Actually sa trooper ko it just started when i was adding 1ltr biodiesel per full tank. A friend kasi manufactures it ang gave 1 box last xmas. I find the performance of the engine satisfactory in the beginning kaya tinuloy ko na until i was having problems. I don't know if nakasama yung paglagay ko or it made my fuel system cleaner and natulak mga dumi sa system kaya nagbara.

No, the Alterra's engine can take it but a higher Euro compliant rating (Euro4) may not. That's why I sure hope the oil firms step up with their Euro Compliance..... soon.

Hmmm, if my memory serves me right:

    1) Body Colors
    2) Antenna location (from A-Pillar mount to D-Pillar)(whip-type to rubber ducky-type)
    3) Radio
    4) 2nd row seats (from "walk thru-type to 70/30 split-type)
