Here's another picture of the Alterra with the 42 inch LCD TV in the 2nd row area and a group shot of the CIA members in Trinoma.

    Guys,
Sorry to hear about the great flood 2days ago. A lot of cars got damaged! Buti hindi ksama ang "Teri" ko. I was at Metrowalk about 9am. Greenhunter and Kerr texted already that they couldn't come but I decided to stay and hope that some new Alterra owners would be there. I waited until 10:15am but it was only Jon2's black Alterra who arrived. I was surprised that Jon asked Sonny to bring his car there. Anyway, we waited for an hour and since nobody else was around after 10:15, we called it quits. On my way out to Edsa northbound, I saw traffic was clogged already at the Ortigas-Edsa intersection. I saw also that the top overpass was not moving northbound. I then decided to go to Greenhills for the meantime to wait for the traffic to ease up. But after lunch, the water was already in the greenhillls complex. So I had to wait in the car, slept for about an hour (was on the 2nd floor parking area) and when rain stopped, started my way northbound. While I was eating, I 've been hearing news already that EDSA is flooded up to the Nlex interchange so I made my way thru New manila, Aurora, then to E.rodriguez to Timog. I saw flood in Timog so went to Roces and entered the side streets to avoid any major flood. In Quezon Ave, the north bound road was unpassable, cars were making uturns to the other side to get to West Ave. So I followed them, but when I saw that Edsa - West is unpassable and heard on the radio that traffic was not moving, I decided to stay in one of the hotels in West Ave. Lucky I was able to get a room fast. I was in the room at 3pm. I came from work from MOA and had no sleep yet. Saw the news about Marikina and Cainta and was thankful I was not there. I saw the video about the UERM compound getting flooded and was thinking the car owners don't have AOG (Act of God coverage) in their insurance. I would'nt want to be in their situation. I was able to go home the next day to Olongapo at 3pm.

    Disadvantages:

    1. Nagloko agad subwoofer 2months palang.. Sagot ng warranty.
    2. May mga fuse na nabusted and ang reason nila is because of the entertainment.
Hehe..
    4. Malapit na mapudpod gulong kakatakbo.
    5. ODO ko Almost 37,000 kms na.
    6. Upuan sa likod d bagay sa matatangkad.

    Advantages:

    1. Good A/C
    2. Matulin pa din.. 180kph at may ibubuga pa.
    3. Okay ang comfort ng ride.
    4. Entertainment is Good especially watching DVDs while on the road.
    5. Luxurious Space. and finally eto the best..
    6. Sobrang Fuel Efficient sya.. hehehe

    ChoyJo,

Why don't you get 20"wheels for your Teri? Para mas maganda sya. Nice investment yon when you're about to replace your tires.
Nice to know your Teri has given you happiness and especially FC. That's our advantage for being an Isuzu vehicle afficionado. I hope you can post new pictures of your Teri.

    Sir Jef,

I had this experience last month lang along nlex.. Tapos stop over kami sa petron.. Ayun umamin, natakot daw sya..hehe..

Hi to all Tsikoteers! glad to see this thread. Alterra is one of the choices when the right time comes to get an SUV. The other two are Fortuner & Montero. I haven't tried driving any of the three yet.

    Tnx!

    Sir Frake,
Once you've gotten your Alterra, you won't be making a mistake in getting the best SUV diesel in town! You will get your money's worth in the long run. Welcome to the CIA forum.

    I'm Jeff.

Hi, Sir Jeff, thank you very much for your reply. I really appreciate it.

The other reason why i like Alterra is because of its look. At least the vehicle will not look old when the new model comes, unlike other brand na parang celfone.

I have a concern on my 07 a/t alterra. I recently felt na parang kulang sa hatak yun alterra ko and dati yun fc nya based on the display is 8.9km/L then gradually napansin ko pababa ng pababa yun fc ko until it became 7km/L nalang! I frequently have it checked and serviced naman sa kasa. suddenly one day, ayaw na umakyat yun rpm. parati nalang sa 1.5 lang yun rpm and first gear lang. No matter how hard I press the pedal, hanggang 1.5 lang rpm. So I had it checked sa Inteco and they told me to replace the suction control valve(7,300 ang isa! ouch!) and sabay change oil na rin and the usual check ups. So I thoght yan ang problem kaya bumaba yun fc ko. But after using it for 1 week na, 7km/L parin yun fc ko. Can anybody help me? Ganyan ba alterras nyo? I am not a heavy foot driver pa naman and very cautious pa ako sa driving ko. I really dont press it hard to maximize my fc. I hope somebody can enlighten me with this problem. More power!

*Jupiter7 I'm really sorry to hear that.
I just got an 05 alterra na casa maintained.
Sana wala akong maging problems. I went to casa and had it checked.
Anyway, a mechanic from casa told me na pwede daw gamitin ordinary oil from casa (not Besco) kasi mas makakamura daw. Anyone here na ganon ginagamit? How much PMS nyo? Mine has A/T transmission. What oil can you recommend and A/T fluid?
