I have the same problem. My brakes squeal especially when i first use it
in the morning, and in stop-go traffic.
My mileage is already 11,000 kms and this has been happening since around 3,000kms. The Quezon Ave dealer has 'cleaned' it 3x already with sandpaper. I think the problem are the brake pads. Its of poor quality and wears out easily. Will bring my car again to the dealer this week. I will ask them to replace the pads. Might damage the rotor if not fixed.

had it cleaned with shell service station using sandpaper and pressurized air but the problem came back.

    Thanks in advance.

Squeaky brakes are more of an irritant rather than a mechanical issue. And yes, most of the time it has something to do with the pad friction material. Braking power and pad wear rates are usually not affected. The noise you hear is the friction material itself. Not the metal tang used as the wear indicator. If they replace your pads with the same brand of pads, the problem might just reccur.

On my oldie Kia, the Korean pads were notorious for the amount of dust they caked on the rim and the noise they made when cold. Once warmed up however, all's well.

The Hyundai Tucson is just the same 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe in Europe. They just changed the name para mabenta pa nila yung old unit na Santa Fe dito sa Pinas.

Sir, Sante Fe talaga iyan. It was never badged as a Tucson. During the second generation (the current one), the SF went upmarket (gained two more seats, larger body, and larger pricetag). The older Santa Fe was sold locally by Wheels but in limited quantities only. Wala pa kasing HARI that time.

Hence the Tucson was born to occupy the market segment the Santa Fe left. But the current Tucson and old Santa Fe are different vehicles.

Yep, I can see the different rear windscreen and twin mufflers. I've also asked Hyundai S.K. when the "new" Tucson was launched and sila mismo sabi ng isa sa kanila it's just a "re-maked" 2001 Santa Fe. Pina liit lang ng kaunti.

The 'old' Santa Fe was based on the Sonata platform of it's vintage (2000). The current Santa Fe is also based on the current Sonata mid-size sedan.

The Tucson is based on a reinforced platform of the smaller Elantra. The new Tucson and the old Sta. Fe are not backward compatible with each other.

But Hyundai did design both vehicles (old SF and new Tucson) to accomodate the 2.0l gas engine and the 2.7 V6 gas engine in their parts bin. And the Tucson officially took over the segment that was vacated by the Santa Fe when it went upmarket.

Hi guys, just want to ask if the roof rails are for real use or japorms lang? Can I install a bike rack or Yakima basket on it?

    Thanks!
