When the alarm is trigerred, the car horns will start blaring. You could add a siren to your unit if you want, I had mine installed by the dealership when I got my unit.
One problem which I noticed with remote car alarms - in some areas near radio stations or transmitters radio signals would interfere with the frequency of your alarm system, rendering your remote useless at times. I noticed some areas like - Ortigas area - near the Strata buildings and the Podium open parking. Most of the time, the alarm system would not respond to the remote openers, you'd have to go around the vehicle trying to find the sweet spot, if you are unlucky enough, you might not find one. It all depends on readio frequency of your alarm systems, some systems would have problems in certain areas while others do not.
If you have problems with delays in your remote opener, better have it checked by the dealership.
