guys...is it really that much worth waiting for the CRDI, despite the huge price difference? Is the difference enough to actually equate the diefference in terms of pricing of diesel and gasoline per liter? How does it go about? Coz if the CRDI is really that great, and it's at the P1.4-M range, it's quite expensive already...heck, it's at the same price level as the Montero Sport! And the Tucson is just a 5-seater!

Please do comment...I'm contemplating whether or not to wait for the CRDI or go ahead with the 2.0 A/T 2WD variant...

if you ask me who owns a CRDi SF and gasoling cuv. wag kayo magpapaniwala dyan sa kasi diesel kuno, na kesyo it's god's greatest gift to the suv.

natatawa lang ako sa mga bumibili ng montero ngaun. as always, yun siguro na-deprive nun araw na hindi makabili-bili ng Pajero FM like me. nun naka- try lang ako ng Santa Fe, la lang. i still prefer driving the CUV in metro manila roads. dati naawa ako sa sarili ko kasi ako naka-crv 1st gen lang tapos yun ibang tropa ng bayaw ko kala mo kung sino mga naka-FM pajero or isuzu trooper. yun pala noon palang ako may advantage.

kahit nga yun escape ngaun na mag-isang dekada na ata ang body, mas ok pa bilhin kaysa any of those crdi's in the market today. mura-mura ng maint ng gasoline cuv tapos sobrang manuverable pa. and to top that kahit san puwede mo iwan.

cars are not status quo anymore just like cellphones and ipods and iphones and notebooks. THEY ARE TOOLS! yeah like the lowly screwdriver and the martilyo - invented to serve a purpose. kung bibili ka martilyo na sobrang flashly tapos you'll add P500 bucks more. martilyo pa din yun pamukpok.

yan na outlook ko sa buhay that's why i don't frequent this forum anymore. crdi, 4x4, v6 diesel, v8 engines who cares, we're are still an island nation with small roads and we got to pay hundred bucks toll just to get to good roads like expressways.

hindi naman to germany na may autobahn or freeways of the mighty us of a. tama na, let's invest our extra money elsewhere, preferably something that can help others, kung may sobra ka.

but of course, i can only speak like this bec. sobrang fit ako ngaun. i can even wear P100 clothes and still look cool kasi sobrang ganda ng body ko ngaun.

hindi talaga ako maintindihan ng mga tao na kailangan bumili ng malalaki sasakyan to carry with them the food and the starbucks that they consumed last x'mas 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009. dati din kasi overweight, as in 50 lbs over sa ideal ko.

kung ako sinabihan ng ganito na sinasabi ko ngaun tapos ang taba-taba ko. syempre magagalit din ako. oh well that's life.

A friend of mine bought 12 pairs of expensive slippers.. To me, its just some plain boring slippers, but she's going gaga over them.

Well.. just like the words we toss around this forum often, to each his own. And for us, its our Automotive Passion that makes all of this fun.

So go hyundia! can't wait to see a Tuscon with a diesel badge!!

^Agree with Gen Miting re: crdi engined CUV's. With the price difference, why go crdi? However, I'll still prefer diesel SUV's and pick-ups for their rugeddness and function, which is mainly to TOW and run offroad (When I say off road, I mean OFF ROAD, hindi yung rough road lang). So it really boils down to preference.

I can't comment on his cool looks tho....

we bought a Tucson but its 2009 version. the price difference is 120k more expensive compared to gas. but its really worth it! 2010 Tucson has a different scenario because prices are much more expensive than the 2009 version.

conclusion: if you have the money, wait for the CRDi version. but if you have a limited budget, go for the gas variant. filling up a diesel engine crdi is never a pain in the ass. :P and speeding up to 160Km/h in sctex is effortless, kaya pa nya and very stable ride.

Ive tried riding the 3rd seat of a montero and damn!! its not comfortable, riding on 3rd seat row isnt comfortable at all for me, ive also tried everest's 3rd seat row, same experience.

every people has different opinions.. for me..

if you have the money to spend and have a decent knowledge about CRDi or any diesel engine vehicles. its still up to you to decide. if budget constraints, gas kana lang.

why would auto manufacturers priced their diesel lineup more expensive than gas? because its better right?

why is camry more expensive than a vios?
