i believe my figure for 500 pesos a week savings on filling up diesel versus gas is already generous. Kahit 800 per week savings (on diesel instead of gas) would still translate to 41.6T per year savings or 4.32 years before break even.

imho, i think theta is a more practical choice for my wife as she will be using this only for city driving. bale wala na sa kanya yung horse power or torque coz she drives like a grandma although i will use this car on the weekends instead of the 'hand me down' altis i got from my brother. I use the altis on work days...

for now, the price diff is just too much for me... maybe until HARI starts giving discounts (ie. nag slow down na demand for tucson)

Get the gasoline variant, also made the same computation as you did. You also need to factor that maintenance for gasoline engine is cheaper than diesel engine.

Guys ano yung tucson LMX20 Premiere? the local dealer where I got my 3 month old SF screwed bigtime. They go paint mist all over the exterior and interior of the car and I was furious. I got to talk to the owner today and he offered a swap with my CRDI SF to his 2-3 month old LMX20 Premiere. Is it a good idea? where can I find the specs and prices? He says it's imported from korea meaning it will have the euro V engine. Kaya ba nito yung dirty diesel natin?

Sorry I didn't think of getting pics since I was soo focused on how to fix my problem. Lime Green yung kulay that I actually fell inlove with the color! Actually my first choice for a car was a tucson but ended up getting the SF cause of the shortage. 3k+ palang odo ng tucson niya so bago pa talaga. Wonder if hindi ako malugi sa swap. Any ideas sir SG?

Wala naman siguro problem sa diesel natin basta Petron Turbo Diesel or Shell V-Power Diesel.

Dito sa Manila nag uumpisa nang kumalat yung mga KDM Tucson (LX20 & LMX20) lahat galing sa parallel importers.

Pros:
- Bigger
- Good Stability
- More interior space
- Can seat 7 people

Cons:
- Too wide
- Looks of the 4X2 is too plain

Tucson LMX20 Premium / Premiere:
Pros:
- Exterior design
- Fuel economy
- Tons of interior features
- Full of safety features
- More aero-dynamic than SF

Cons:
- Smaller body
- 5-seater
- Slightly stiff ride

Thats the problem sir, walang V power or turbo diesel sa location ko. Pero mukahng ok pa naman makina niya kahit ordinary diesel lang karga niya. Problem ko is long term effects nito sa makina.

Thanks for the comparison. I'm realling leaning towards cutting my losses and doing the swap. Pumangit talaga yung interior, White yung body color ko tapos putla yung whole interior dahil sa spray-over e black pa naman.

Hay buhay! hirap talaga sa mga tao na walang paki, minura pa naman ako ng in-charge na ang arte arte ko e konti lang naman daw yung overspray at hindi ganun ka obvious. Siya pa me gana magmura!!! (sorry kelangan lang mgvent out)

Pinalitan kasi rear bumper ko tapos ang ginawa nila sinalpak yung part then pinintura while attached sa unit ko sa open area! may part yung bumper na nakatago pag sarado yung tailgate db? binuksan nila yung tailgate sabay pinintura. Ayun yung mist pumasok sa buong interior and exterior. Pati ng windshield and glass ko rough ng finish at parang frosted! yung gumawa? sa casa yun a!

Yeap! I left strict instructions na wag pintruahan while naka kabit sa sa body pero yun padin ng ngyari. Funny thing is sabi nila para daw match yung kulay e ang layo ng kulay!

Makukuha b yung paint sa interior detalling? mukhang kelangan ng rubbing yung vinyl para matanggal. Baka masira!

Para hindi OT. Gusto ko yung dressed up LMX20 sa post niyo. bagay yung mags niya na parang sa civic.

Pare-pareho eh. Pag tinignan yung mags, may similarity sa kulay ng body. Tapos yung scuff plate, silver pa din. Ta's biglang magkakaitim.
