I was contemplating on this too. since I have "Left over" set up from my previous cars. I have a four channel amp, a Subwoofer amp, equalizer/pre-amp, cross-over network, etc etc, but then again the SF's sound is good enough that I'm having second thoughts of modifying it. If ever Im going to add something it Would probably a removable Subs in a band-pass enclosure, para if I need more cargo space, I can just pull it out. Pero ok na rin naman bass eh, Ayaw ko na rin ng masyadong malakas(parang ang tanda ko na pakinggan, hahahahaha). May RCA out ba ang stock HU natin?

As what my SA told me, the warranty of the car will not be voided. What will be voided is the part and other related parts or wirings that you changed. For example, if you change H.U. the new H.U will not be covered. If the speaker blows up because you changed H.U di covered ng warranty ang speaker. I bought from the US a JVC KW-AX800. Pina-ship pa lang so mga september ko pa maikakabit. This unit has a steering wheel remote control interface. I also bought a separate programmable steering wheel interface in case iba ang programming ng JVC.

Hayup ganda nong SF (don't like the rear skirts though on the display unit). Helped me be more convinced to but the SF next month.
The H.U. that winterpines is marketing is the AVT. It has also the steering wheel remote control. But the price is too high, the same or more pa nga sa branded ones.

Was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction... where can I get a decent back-up sensor? The one they had at the dealership was pretty tacky (they wanted to stick the sensor on the windshield!). Does anyone know of a toggle switch (similar to the one they use in the Fortuner) which you can install in one of the ready holes on the console, perhaps aligned with the other switches?

Thanks in advance for your useful replies.
Last saturday, I had my back-up sensor installed at Hyundai-E. Rodriguez. They charge me php3,500.00 and I was satisfied with it. In fact, I also bought with them my set of mud-guard for my Sta. Fe. Hospitable pa ang mga tao dun, look for Mrs. Zenaida Chua. Boss12

I got my 2007 Sta Fe last May and it's on a 4,000 kilometer mileage. It's consumption is at 11.6 kilometers per liter (combine hi-way and city driving).

Hi Tsikoteers - just got my white Sta Fe two weeks back, and so far so good. Havent gone over the 1,000 km supposed break in period yet, so am keeping the rpm well below 3,000 limit (as documented in the manual), but its really fast, you can feel a big reserve of power.. and very quiet (for a diesel).

Just one complain though - ang tigas ng busina.. appreciate if you can provide some recommendation on how to solve this ? Any add ons, adjustments (baka me spring sa loob ng manibela na pwedeng luwagan), accessories, etc... to make blowing of horn a bit easier.

My SF's consumption is between 10 to 11 per liter. Combined Highway and city driving. I went to subic and it did 15kms. per liter (100 to 120 kph).

I noticed this also while test driving it. I had to pound it hard in the center area to get it to work. I think its meant to discourage the use of the horn, which is usually the case in developed countries abroad except in China.

Aside from the horn problem, one minor problem (depends on how you look at it) - is the alarm/door locking via remote - there's no audio feedback. The feedback that the doors are locked is via visual flashing of the park lights (I think), meaning you really have to look in front or back of the car to get a an indication it is locked and alarm enabled. I think I am used to just closing the door, and without looking back, just press the remote and hear the click clock sound. Is there a way to add an audio 'click - clock' when you press the remote ?

So, two minor discomforts - horn and the alarm.

Euro cars usually don't have sound when alarms are engaged. But i think there's a way to enable the sound via the ECU console. Check with the dealer. I forgot to ask about it since i like it silent.

Horn is discouraged that's why it's hard to press. In Modern countries, blowing of horns is considered rude and sign of illiteracy.

Anyway, i think there's a way to adjust the hardness of the horn, i just didn't bother with it.

    Meron ka ba sir?

Yung busina ko ay medyo malambot na, dahil siguro sa dami ng mga ogags na Jeepney drivers sa Zapote Rd. napapadalas ang busina ko. I even replaced the OEM horns with Stebel Magnum-2 for more decibels

hinay hinay lang po sa malalakas na busina. Kawawa naman po ang mga pasahero na mada-damage ang hearing lalo na yung mga bata.

I noticed sa gitna ng horn matigas. Sa dulo ay mas malambot.
