As for the sub, i was thinking of putting it at the bottom of the long part of 2nd row, the one that doesn't tumble but i haven't made any measurements yet since i'm quite happy with the stock speakers of the SF. Be careful with subs though, considerable exposure to 110dB can do a lot of damage to your ears and your passengers.

IC, so its the gas cap release access panel pala. I thought its a space provided for subs in variants in the other countries. So it cant possibly fit a sub.

I really do miss the subs I had in my other car. But doing any non factory mods on my SF medyo Im not inclined at this time. But I will do look into the space you mentioned. Thanks for the info!!

Hi! Got my 2007 Sta Fe bandang end of March. Napansin ko lang, kapag ginamit ang defogger, the aircon shuts off. Does this happen to you too? If I don't use the defogger naman, nag moist ang windshield.

kapain nyo po yung butas sa tapat ng windshield pag walang lumalabas aba problema nga yan

Thank yo HTH for your reply. What I mean is, pag nag moist ang windshield ko lalu na pag umuulan, tendency is I put on the defogger. When my defogger is on, wala lamig or air coming out from the middle aircon vent. I told this matter to my dealer and we tried another brand new sta fe unit, ganun din. Bakit? What I did is, I have to stop in a gas station dahil, I can't stand the heat(walang aircon). I think, that is not normal.

Tama kayo ni Horsepower. The provision on the left side of the 3rd row seat is both for the sub and the gas cap release access. In addition, based on the Service Manual, you will notice that there are also provisions for two rear speakers on the tailgate. The lid tray naman on top of the dashboard is for the center speaker. All-in-all, there are 10 speakers on the top of the line variant sa US. Me too, I'm looking on installing a sub on the said provision when I have the mobile entertainment installed.

I agree with Washburn na normal operation yung windshield defogger. If i remember it right, based on the drawing on the defogger button, the air should come out both sa air vents on top of the dashboard plus sa bottom. Please refer to the operations manual on the section bi-level heating. Me too have the defogging problem. Sometimes I used the defogger pero most often I don't. Seems lalong lumalabo windshield pag naka-defogger.

I am glad to hear that we have space provisions for a sub and addtional speakers. Nahalata tuloy I dont read my SFs manual. hehe.

Kindly share your installation of any additional speakers (what brand and how) including subs. Can we buy this as an OEM upgrade?

    Regards,

    Julius
