OK din yung gun metal...pero nagustuhan ko yung s. red...multiple shades sya. minsan maroon, sa gabi-black...sa daylight naman parang red w/ dark brown shades.

For dark color, it would be superior red or gun metal. For light color, titanium blue.
i've seen almost all colors ( in China) including the ones not available in pinas.
believe me, ala kang tulak-kabigin. lahat magaganda, iMO. depende na lang sa image or personality mo.
my take....
1. Black - executive, mysterious and elegant as usual lalo polished lagi, high-maintenance (pang- bossing)
2. Silver - classic, easy maintenance ( pogi)
3. Gun Metal - combination of the above ( my color)![]()
4. S. Red - tricky and unique ( pang-chicks)
5. White - clean and sleek ( pang-good boy)
6. Titanium Blue - cool and fresh ( pang-presko)

Medyo leaning ako sa S. Red after seeing the pix from C! Magazine.
Btw, sya ang Editor's Choice ng C! Magazine for CUV 7-Seater.
Btw, sa specs nila, topspeed ng SF CRDi ay 183 kph * 3250 rpm. Ano ba ang redline ng CRDi engine? Acceleration is 13+ seconds to 100kph. This is measured using their V-Box equipment (since the speedometer is not 100% accurate).
Thanks,![]()
4500rpm yung redline.
Not sure bakit ganun kabagal ang 0-100kmh nila but it's definitely shorter than that. Not sure kung inaccurate nga speedo basta i know, everyone else is slow when i step on the gas. LOL.

Hindi pala ako nagkamali!
"Autobytel recognized the Hyundai Santa Fe as the 'SUV of the Year' for its 2007 Editors' Choice Awards. Hyundai earned two additional victories in the 'Best New Midsize SUV' and 'Best New Minivan' categories for the 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe and 2007 Hyundai Entourage respectively. Awards were distributed at the 2006 Los Angeles Auto Show."![]()

btw, C! Magazine indicated that the FC of the SF for highway driving is 33.3 km/L! :shocked2:
Normally, most diesel vehicles that they've tested would only to up to 15 km/L.
On my way to Baguio last week Monday, im not sure but i've gone 300kms++ (AFAIR 323kms because i got lost) using only 500 pesos worth of diesel and that's with 180kmh expressway sprints, 100kmh uphills and zigzags (crazy me, that made me really dizzy afterwards!). LOL. On my way to Manila, since it's mostly engine braking, i consumed lower.
in city driving my FC sucks, only about 8-10km/L.
According to Carl Cunanan, their standard launch mode is revving to 2000 rpms only to wind up the engine. If the engine is a big old torque-generator, like the 3.0 diesels of the competition, this works in their favor... if it needs more revs to accelerate, (like in the case of the new Honda Civic, which is best launched at 4000+ revs) times will suffer.
Also, it depends on the test weather. Turbo power often depends on how hot or cool the day is. Different sources place Santa Fe acceleration times between 11 - 13 seconds. Also, turbodiesels feel really good on take-off compared to non-turbo gas engines, but they taper off close to redline, thus they feel faster than they really are.

Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
Hello guys, maganda ang feedback ng SF. Meron na bang nag benta dito ng unit na taga tsikot? Magkano kaya?May gustong bumili pero pang 2nd hand lang ang budget.
I could imagine the s red and black colors to require the same amount of TLC when it comes to detailing ... detailing nightmare esp pagdumating na yun rainy season
why not silver na lang?![]()
My bad guys... 12.2s to 100kph pala ang Sta. Fe CRDi.
cardo, un nga... medyo sakit sa ulo ang red & black sa maintenance... although parang worth it naman in the end. iba pa din kasi ang color depth ng dark colors.
Umm, not really. Also, turbodiesels feel really good on take-off compared to non-turbo gas engines, but they taper off close to redline, thus they feel faster than they really are.
The car employs VGT, thus it's boosted even at low RPM. There's no need to rev high to get boost. Old turbo diesels probably need high revving though (since they need high rpm to get boost).
i don't know but it's not the RPM (because i also watch it since higher rpm = higher consumption and it's useless in an automatic) that's making it feel faster. It's probably the frontal G-Force from dead stop to go which pushes you to the backrest of your seat.
Im a bit curious about a Supercharged SantaFe V6 though.![]()
Hi Sta Fe-natics! My first post here. Been lurking in this forum for the past few months & I'd like to thank eveyone for all their opinions, feedback, insights, etc. as regards the SF.
Well all those well-thought & experienced comments just firmed up my decision (of course also after a test drive) to get one and have been happily driving a Silver diesel unit since last Feb 07. Has already logged 2500 kms & my only complaint is I haven;t found any.Hopefully, nothing major comes up! Not much on accessories as the stock unit already earns you extra pogi pts!
Anyway, just to pose a query to the group, do you reco rust-proofing. Previous Hyundai models have been notorious on rust accumulation having owned one before. Hyunda E Rod service dept is recommending one.
What think? Thanks!
ive had sub 11 using my a/t at sub 10 on my sportshift at talagang galit na apak sa pedal yon.
Trackers888, ala pa cguro magbebenta ng 2nd hand sa nagyon.
had a longdrive, straight drive last Monday ( approx 500kms). kahit maghapon ka sa daan, ala kang mararamdamang sakit sa katawan.![]()
guys, how often do u use your sportshift?
this is one sweet feature of this baby and i've been using it specially during over taking.
kung medyo tamad kang umpak ng mabigat sa pedal, dalhin mo lang sa right yung knob then downshift, broooom! ....... ingat lang sa whiplash!![]()
