IMHO, just stick to the fuel specs according to manual. If the engine is good at present fuel then why shift to fancy commercialized diesel fuel.

This news from Seoul by Reuters though it mentioned sa US lang. Covered ng recall are units built between Apr 19, 2006 and Jul 7, 2008. Better ask pa rin the local dealers

I use Petron Turbo diesel. Less smoke, better performace.

Kahit mas mahal okay lang. I don't know kung mas malinis 'to sa regular diesel. Pero basta ramdam ko difference sa performance kaya Turbo Diesel lang ako.

I use Unioil. Euro IV diesel and cheaper too and is nearer our place. I will also use Seaoil if a station is nearby.

I put Armol-All on all of my rubber door mouldings and it seemed to stop the squeaking sounds whenever I am on uneven roads.

Hello guys.., True ba etong Seaoil diesel na Euro IV compliant? I've asked nearest Seaoil station sabi yun daw..?
Been using this before to compare engine performance from other brands but pansin ko medyo maingay ang makina. this time I use Shell fuel save, parang ok ang engine noise noticeable na less ang ingay.

Unless your engine is euro 4 compliant, you can use the euro 4 diesel fuel. But I guess hyundai sta fe which is released in PH is only euro 2 compliant ( becoz thats the norm in this country) using euro 4 fuel on euro 2 engine can create issues with your engine, especially the injection systems starting from the high pressure pump.

baliktad yata sir. you can use euro-4 compliant fuel on a euro-2 engine but you can not use euro-2 compliant fuel on a euro-4 engine. binaliktad mo e.

I think it is the other way around. it is not advisable to fill in EURO 2 diesel on EURO 5 compliant vehicles, that way, it can cause issues because it is not designed to accomodate the "dirtier" fuel. our sorento has a EURO 5 Pump installed initially, it failed after 5000kms of using our EURO 2 fuel. KIA replaced it with a Asia-Pacific Pump (maybe EURO 2) no problems to date after 25000kms.

you can use EURO 4 fuel to EURO 2 engine AFAIK,

Okay, here it is, euro 2 fuels are actually high sulfur fuel and euro 5 are low sulphur which concentration is 50ppm or less.
The problem with low sulphur or this euro 4 or 5 fuels is because they lack lubrication which found on euro 2 fuels.Thats the reason why most crdi pumps fail using this fuel if the pumps are not designed for this.

unfortunately this explanation does not agree with the pump failures experienced here. the pumps failed due to dirty fuel, not due to lack of lubrication. your theory may be sound but in reality it is not what is observed. the fact is, since all diesels sold in the philippines have at least 2% biodiesel which has excellent lubricating properties there is actually no lack of lubrication as the lubrication that was used to be provided by sulfur in diesel was replaced by biodiesel.

So its not euro 5 diesels are the issue here. But then why would you say our diesel is dirty? dirty of what? you have your filter installed, right? so are your filters not efficient enough to removed impurities?

I found Kayaba replacements kaso at 5.2k per piece medyo mahal padin. Thanks in advance! Cavite area po pala.
