or consider the kia sorento. they share the same engine(2.2 r-evgt) and platform with the current santa fe.

Newbie lang ako dito, been reading all the threads posted here and I am convince and fall in love with SF, it is the SUV i wanted, Sana wag kayong magsawa mag post regarding the performance of your SF, thanks a lot guys, by the way, is it true that the new gen of SF will be coming soon and due for release this coming second quarter of this year?

thanks trig, i hope the new gen will be out soon, that would be my first purchase this year, kilig na kilig ako sa SF upgraded version, muntik na kong makabili but the SA in Manila Bay told me this new gen of STA. Fe, do you have any idea regarding this new gen SF, thanks again, hindi ka pala talaga nag-iisa dito laging may nagrereply, ang ganda na ng samahan ninyo, hope to join you soon

Ako kumuha na ako ng SF gen 2.5 kahit alam kong malapit na yung bago. Nandun na kasi lahat ng gusto ko na features, gps, rear cam, backup sensor, spoiler etc. Bang for the buck since "luma" na nga. Advantage din ng luma na tested na yung engine, lumabas na lahat ng issues.

New models has a tendency to have either bare features and/or be too expensive for me. Ako kasi Tucson lang yung budget ko, na-stretch lang for SF. If the SF is priced somewhere near the price of Sorento w/c has the same engine, hindi ko na kayang bilhin.

You are right there, all features are there na, may problem lang is pag kumuha ako ng 2.5 gen at biglang lumabas ung bagong SF baka katulad nagyari sa tucson, very fluidic ung bago while the luma is boxy, baka ganun din mangyari sa SF biglang luma pag lumabas ung bagong gen ng SF but i like the shape of the 2nd gen very distinctive, although wala pa kong idea sa 3rd gen, my idea regarding the 3rd gen is that it has more power, much bigger and the shape will be patterned with tucson and sonata and i think it cost more being new model and you are right when you said that usually a new model has bare features and expensive, very hard to decide which is which, also parehas tayo sa budget, mahirap itodo lahat, gang 4x2 crdi lang kaya ng bulsa ko baka naghihintay lang ako sa hindi ko naman kayang abutin.

Yung 3rd gen santa fe wala ng windows for the 3rd row occupants, if may 3rd row pa at all. Tsaka mahirap bumili ng newly released unit lalu na hyundai. We all know that many newly released cars have glitches or bugs that needs to be sorted out. Kaso ang after sales service ng hyundai is sorely lacking. Its either you buy the current gen now since subok na siya, or wait 2-3 years para malaman kung ano magiging bugs nitong bagong model.

If the money is not an issue Sorento will be my choice.
Both SF and Sorento share the same engine and tranny. Parang same person lang yan wearing different clothes

Just had 30,000km PMS * Hyundai Commonwealth. They replaced cabin filter, air filter and front brake pads. I think HGMO semi synthetic gamit nila. Engine detailing na rin since mukhang pwede nang taniman ng kamote yung engine bay
