for 90% city driving pwede na ba yung 2.4 theta? in terms of FC mas matipid diesel right but yung theta kaya ba mga 6.5km/l pag daily route ko is mandaluyong - binondo...

No. Diesel is a hell to maintain Every PMS, I have to pay 5K pesos for the 8 Liters of oil & the oil filter. You may ask the SF CRDi VGT/ R eVGT owners kung nakaka magkano sila. Kasi Tucson R eVGT yung sa akin.

90% city drive. So most likely hindi mo kailangan nung CRDi power & torque. Pero good fuel consumption ang kailangan. I guess kaya naman ng Theta II yuung 6.5km/L or higher.

Si Xander kasi (2010 Kia Sorento Theta II owner) nakaka 8km/L sa city driving..

Santa Fe 4x4 CRDi VGT owner here
about PMS cost as part of maintenance, mas mababa ang expenses namin compare sa eVGT. VGT 2.2 engine needs 5.5liters of oil only while 7.8liters naman ang required ng eVGT na dapat FS pa ang oil na gagamitin.

last question magkano magpagawa ng headrest with monitor? will it void yung warranty ng car? also how much yung headunit that cn play DVD..

Sa MASPRO meron silang ready made headrest as replacement na may ready monitor. Cost depend sa brand but I think the cheaper price is 8k for a pair.

Sa Head Unit naman +1 with Starex Gold na dapat Tucson Gold na ang handle (Joke!) depende rin sa brand pero if I where you, I choice Kenwood HU kahit na yung 6034BT lang. Sulit na yun para pwede upgrade sa GPS. meron ding cheap HU na GPS ready na pero tunog tin can

Pero Theta II Gasoline engine po. Yeah, powerful enough. Pero hindi mo mararamdaman yung power & torque ng CRDi.

But cheaper maintenance..

Sir Starex_Gold, kahit po ba puno ng sakay d ramdam na hirap ang makina sa arangkada? Malakas tunog ng makina?

Kenwood nalang.

Yung stock HU ng Santa Fe hindi maganda. Malabo ang LCD at rear camera. Tapos made in China lang yun.

Ok naman for me yung stock HU ng 2010 SF. Not that bright and not that dark. Sakto lang ang brightness.

Yeah. Sakto yung brightness pero hindi maganda yung resolution ng display.

Naalala ko na yung brand. Skypine nga ata yun.

Anyway, I think di mo kailangan ng help kay Aldrich. Hindi naman gipit sa units ang SF unlike the Tucson, palakasan sa dealer at planta para lang makakuha ng unit

comfort no need na, kasi alam ko na sa comfort. halata sa suspension, pero mas comfortable ang alterra sa space kasi pwede kang mag stretch ng maayos katulad sa height ko na 5'10". hehe

both has sat nav system, reversed camera, touch screen stereo head unit.
but when we test drove the santa fe kahapon, i really felt the power when the SA pressed the accelerator. sa alterra naman, M/T4x2 nag scratch sa 1st gear, scratch sa 2nd gear, scratch sa 3rd gear, at konti scratch sa 4th gear. anyway, please give me your inputs. thanks.

Alterra: 3.0L i-TEQ = 146HP
Santa Fe: 2.2L CRDi R eVGT = 197HP

Engine palang panalo na.

FC, syempre Alterra. Kasi hindi naman kasing bilis ng SF.

Safety, syempre SF. World Class SUV. Kahit sa Europe meron.

Meron bang Alterra sa Europe? Wala. Kasi hindi papasa sa standards.

pati sa age ko, hindi ko na hinahanap ang pag cratch ng gulong. naka sakay na ako sa alterra. not sure sa year model, malaki nga sya sa loob. pero mas mamahalin ang pakiramdam ko sa SF.

it all depends kung ano ang habol nyo. pang harabas, sa tingin ko mas tatagal ang alterra. for the luxury feel at hindi naman ipang haharabas, SF na ako.

pati ang pinaka kicker dyan, gaya ng sabi ni SG, world class suv / cuv ang SF. kasi meron nito sa europe, USA, australia, etc.

Sa price yata same lang sila. Galing lang ako sa Showroom ng Isuzu last day nakita ko ang Alterra not sure kung latest model yun, hindi ako nagandahang sa combination ng color sa dash board, beige then may accent na wood trim
